Cartography of the IT Landscape, great to run digital transformation
LeanIX has enabled our organisation to provide insights into our technology environment, including current and future state. All without the architect having to be in the room. The ability to quickly establish dashboards and portals for specific user groups as well as the overall ease of use has enable us to scale our architecture practice - only 10% of our user bases is in the architcture team.
There are few faults that warrant a dislike. The hardest part to grasp for our users is the differene bwtween Application and IT component, but that isnot a LeanIX problem.
LEanIX EAM is solving a number of prpblem spaces for us. Some of these are: 1. System of record for current & future state IP; 2. Visibility for our business capabilities to technology planning; 3. visilbity of change to our environment; 4. SOR for key metrics of our environment

LeanIX EAM is incredibly full-featured and allows you to conduct a range of tasks from data enttry to diagramming and visualising via reports.
With LeanIX EAM's collaboration tools, it is incredibly easy to crowdsource the continiuous and iterative improvement of the application portfolio.
The hardest part of using LeanIX is probably the change management piece. It is easy to understand the value of LeanIX EAM as an Enterprise architect or member of a strategy team, but educating the wider business on the same can be challenging.
Leanix EAM has solved a lot of our problems in the areas of capturing and distributing information to the wider business about our application landscape. This removes a lot of manual burden to document such information for me, freeing up my time for value add tasks.
Ease of use. Built around easy to understand Business concepts.
From a context of non existent practise within our enterprise. Advice for first timers would be very valuable
Visibility for our Board level Sponsors and on the application landscape and the cost and utilization of the investment made in applications and solutions
we currently store all the information in a EA tool however the visualisations are all manual as such the weeks worth it takes to make a full view is done within seconds
For me assignment of users as owners vs roles is a big one, I see as people leave this could easily get out of date however using a role that could link back to an individual would be excellent
Being able to oprovide views that are specfic to each level easily without the need to manage each one singly providing more time back to core Architecture and solution tasks
Realizing Value through Enterprise Architecture Implementation
Some actual usecases of the Application Analysis done to retain few and discard some of them so as to actually relate them with my domain
Managing cost, ROI, more clarity to everyone in organization via shared reports, dashboards and clarity in terms of app currently used vis-a-vis projected
LeanIX is a very easy to use tool, which helps businesses build a comprehensive understanding of their Enterprise Architecture landscape. The collaboration functions support transparency of IT Roadmaps, projects and the integration capability with SAP Signavio marries up the how a business operates, with the enabling platforms and technologies used in execution.
To date I have not had much in the way of negative feedback from clients. A recommendation would be for organisations to put in place a formal enterprise architecture practice to enable the business to leverage the benefits of LeanIX.
Simple mechanism to have visibility of IT lifecyle, functional and technical fit to stream line making customers more productive with better transformation performance.
Easy to use. Ability to capture data points quickly.
Nothing really. Keen to learn more about diagramming capability
