The software is really easy to use and offers a ton of options to support our devices. It integrated perfectly with our carrier, the onboarding process was easy, and the pricing for our organization was adequate.

It asks for the password for every change, but I would like to see that change. I can see asking for it for administrative changes, but not for everything.

What I like most about IBM MaaS360 is its simple interface and centralized device management. It makes securing, monitoring, and managing enterprise devices quick and efficient.

The dashboard can be easier to navigate, integrations with other tools could be smoother, performance is occasionally slow, pricing may be a bit steep for smaller teams, onboarding could be more guided, and adding smarter AI features would make the platform even better.

I like that IBM MaaS360 is much more secure with just minimum effort. The faster onboarding process is a big plus, and IT can support way faster and more conveniently. I also appreciate that it separates work and my private data, making everything clear. As a new joiner, it eases my work and helps me understand the company better by ensuring that all information is secure and not leaked to competitors. The initial setup was quite easy, and I think the IT team completed it within 10 minutes.

I think it blocks out quite a few apps and device features for my laptop, and some settings cannot be changed by myself and always require an admin. I also worry about what information the IT can see, or whether my company will actively track my live location.

I use IBM MaaS360 for managing remote employees, securing data, and faster device setup. It provides secure corporate resource access, and quick IT support. It separates work and personal data, protecting both. Onboarding is easier, and my company information stays secure.

All the tools are available, and I have visibility into all my devices in a functional and professional way.

I think IBM MaaS360 goes beyond a traditional MDM. With it, I can follow the full life cycle of all my devices. Even though my organization uses different operating systems (iOS, Android, and Windows), the software still allows us to apply consistent security regulations across them.

I like most about IBM MaaS360 is its centralized device management and strong features. The platform also provides excellent visibility into device compliance and simplifies app deployment and policy enforcement. The most valuable features for us include device compliance monitoring, remote device management, application deployment, and security policy enforcement. These tools help us maintain security standards, quickly troubleshoot issues, deploy apps efficiently, and manage all mobile devices from a centralized dashboard, reducing manual effort for the IT team.

While IBM MaaS360 offers a wide range of features, the initial setup and configuration can be complex for new administrators. The user interface could be more intuitive in some areas, and certain reporting options would benefit from additional customization. Improving navigation and simplifying advanced configuration would enhance the overall user experience. For new administrators, more guided setup wizards and step-by-step onboarding resources would help reduce the learning curve.

IBM's solution has a complex setup, potentially high costs, slower adoption of new mobile features, a clunky "Cloud Extender," and a UI that may feel unintuitive for large-scale device management.

What I like most about IBM MaaS360 is its strong device security and centralised management. It makes it straightforward to manage, monitor, and secure multiple devices from a single dashboard, which is especially helpful in a BYOD environment. The policy controls, remote management capabilities, and integration with other IBM security tools help reduce IT effort while ensuring devices remain compliant and protected.

The main drawback is that the interface can feel a bit complex at first, especially for new admins. Some of the more advanced features take time to configure properly, and the reporting tools could be more intuitive. I’ve also experienced occasional delays in support responses, and the documentation could go deeper in a few areas.

IBM MaaS360 helps us address the challenge of securely managing and monitoring a growing fleet of mobile devices, apps, and endpoints across our organisation. By bringing everything into one place, we can apply consistent security policies, onboard or offboard devices quickly, and protect corporate data without slowing users down. As a result, it has reduced manual effort for IT, strengthened compliance, and given us much better visibility into overall device health and security.

One of the most impressive recent developments from IBM MaaS360 is the introduction of AI-Assisted Policy Guidance and "Summarize" features (rolled out in early-to-mid 2025).

This feature is impressive because it directly addresses the overwhelming complexity of modern Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) for IT administrators.

What it does: Instead of forcing administrators to navigate hundreds of toggles and policies, the AI engine can "summarize" existing policy configurations to explain their intent and impact.

Why it's impressive: It moves beyond simple automation and into context-aware guidance. It can analyze a policy and recommend improvements based on the desired goal (e.g., strengthening security for BYOD) while also providing a high-level summary of the implications of those changes.

The level of control it provided over our ecosystem, along with the up-to-date policies available for all operating systems, made Maas360 an excellent choice for our MDM requirements. Our main use was for managing Android Workspace and MacBook devices. Additionally, we appreciate the metrics dashboard, which offers a clear overview of our device environment and supports our compliance efforts.

We primarily used MaaS360 for MacBooks, but found that its support for the latest MacBook operating systems was lacking. As a result, we decided to stop using MaaS360 and went with a different solution. On the other hand, its support for Android devices and operating systems was excellent.

As a remote-first company, we found that Maas360 simplified the process of deploying laptops and mobile devices to our employees. The app discovery portal enabled our team members to quickly access and install the applications they need to begin working. Additionally, we relied on it for managing policy updates and ensuring compliance across all our laptops and mobile devices.
