Firehouse is great for Data gathering for the Fire industry. The interface takes some getting used to, but gets the job done when you learn it and can query your data.
Old interface. cannot collect data from an app on a mobile device
Data focused reports. Justification for new Fire Stations!!
The easiness in writing the report. The staff were able to be trained in very short time frame and was able to make reports without error.
Some of the back end needs to be changed to be more configurable.
Data export to make data work for our department
The software is very easy to use and to navigate
Some aspects of the software can be confusing.
This is a great and useful software system that should be utilized in many settings.
ESO Fire helps me solve many of my daily problems at work. It was fast and easy to learn and even easier to use.
I like the fact that with Fire house software I am able to put all my data into one place. Pre-plans, hydrants, reports, and pub ed events. Plus our training records and certifications.
Not very tablet or mobile friendly. It seems the mobile app software and the PC don’t like to play well together.
The simplistic placement of all our data in one location.
I liked the best that we can access and inspect anytime anywhere.
I don't like when I am unable to access some data because I don't have access to that.
It's a great resource to use.
I take care of inspecting the work people have been doing and take care of the incidents. I have access to the things quickly and easily.
ESO is listening to their customers and their needs and allowing that to drive their decisions going forward. They have made a lot of progress in the fire community over the past year.
The fire product replacing Firehouse is not fully where it needs to be yet. You have to purchase multiple solutions to make up for some of the functions lost in the transition from Firehouse to ESO
Don't rush, give it some time to let the development get where you need it to be for your organization
Still working on our transition from FH to ESO at this time
The customization ability. You are able to get any data out of this that can be there.
Do not like that it is not end user friendly and unable to update as it is on an old platform.
Paperless, mobility
The simplicity of its use, the majority of our members picked-up on the new reporting system quickly and commented on its intuitive format.
The auto-CAD import does not always come over from EHR without validation issues. This has created confusion from some of our members not understanding why some EHR reports come over to Fire as Locked and others remain in Draft status. We were told that this issue was being worked on and 8 months post-implementation, it has not been resolved.
We are in the process of building a new fire station and would like to use the data from ESO Fire to help show the benefits to the primary response area.
I like that the user can be an administrator and create their own reports without technical assistance. They have annual conferences that cater to the user and the administrator. They teach you how to be self sufficient with your software. If you do need to contact user support, you get a real person that can tap into your computer via internet and walk you through exactly what you need to do.
Some modules are limited as to what you can add or delete to customize them. For example, when creating the 'truck check' section, I could only add so many items that needed to be checked. On inspections, it was difficult to get a report to print out for the customer that was easy to comprehend.
Firehouse has come a long way in the years I have used it. They are now offering cloud based so it can be used from anywhere. It is versatile and easy to use.
Inspection reports, incident reports, asset inventory. I like that you can set up reminders for annual inspections and they create a notice for the user and materials to send to the recipient of the inspection.
