The home page is great for helping organize different tasks. It allows me manage my discovery work along with projects in flight.
There used to be an email alert when you get tagged but not anymore:(
Managing Product & development work
Very accessible/easy to use, particularly with how new I am to remote work. I particularly like all the capabilities & functionality within stories. I've only have experience with Wrike outside of Shortcut & I find Shortcut to be far easier to navigate/use.
I'm still pretty new, so excuse me not knowing about something that may already exist, but I wish there was a way in which to highlight stories that are assigned to me while being within the 'Everything' spaces, while still showing all of the other stories.
Shortcut provides me an easy way to sort through tasks, particularly when our team has several projects working at the same time. Being able to comment, checking off tasks, the points system & the plugin functionality(Figma etc.) really make Shortcut a breeze to use in a fully remote environment.
I've used a lot of project management software tools (Jira, Waffle, Pivotal Tracker) and this one just gets it right. It's intuitive, fast and has all the features I want. Also, it doesn't require a ton of configuration to get going.
The only complaint I have is that the Iterations list and detail views are a bit difficult to use. The list view needs to be simpler and the detail view could find a better way to show status and users simultaneously. But these are small complaints compared to how much I love the rest of the interface.
It makes planning move a lot faster for our team. The tool gets out of the way of what we want to do. It moves so fast that you can prototype a project in the tool rather than having to work around it to get it to do what you think it should.
Shortcut's interface is highly user-friendly. One can easily track several projects across different functions and departments. Additionally, it provides dashboard capabilities whoch can be used to derive meaningful insights.
It doesn't allow to tag stories with decimal estimate points for example 0.5. This often makes it difficult to scope for adhoc and low priority work.
Highly recommend giving Clubhouse a try as it's a single-point solution for addressing issues around project management, agile, and sprints. Provides a whole bunch of exquisite features that help in increase operational efficiencies for your organization.
Our entire suite of projects is managed and tracked on Shortcut as it's our go-to tool for Project Management. Previously tracking status for data science projects was proving to be challenging considering the humungous amount of rework and adhoc requests from clients. This issue was resolved within Shortcut by making use of their third party integrations.
One of the most valuable features is integration with Github, as it allows developers to integrate and manage their stories directly with their feature branches. You can also have logs and messages triggered to your slack channel for every deployment model run through the slack integration capability.
Shortcut has a clean visualization for the most crowded information that there could be in a teamwork. We use this tool every day to coordinate the work and it is very easy to navigate for every team member.
Nothing is missing from my perspective. I am enjoying use it more than other scrum tools like Jira for example.
It is much better than Trello, way more advanced. I would adopt this tool for the scrum teams.
Team coordination is way simpler with a board like the one Shortcut provides. There are many way to customize the tickets and it's all my team needs during scrum ceremonies like Planning and standup.
It's hard to nail down what I like best, but I think the highly customizable features and integration with other tools, i.e. GitLab and Slack, make this app incredible.
I want the ability to group cards under a parent card to track subteam efforts from start to finish allowing for improved metrics. Often, we have two teams working on a feature, one frontend and the other backend, and we'd like to tie those cards together under a parent feature card. Currently, "tasks" exist, but we need the full functionality of stories.
Try out Shortcut, and make sure to explore all its features. There are so many that it might be a little overwhelming at first, but once you've studied it sufficiently, you won't be able to live without it!
Shortcut helps us keep our teams coordinated and informed. It allows us to plan ahead while remaining agile, link related cards together, identify when stories are blocked, etc. We know exactly what everyone is working on at any given time and what we anyone on the team can pick up next. All of this (and a lot more!) has allowed us to increase our productivity and coordination.
Pointing + the ability to assign and track the tickets throughout their lifecycle and reflect back on the progress we made over the past sprints. We've used other tools in the past but this is the one that sticks.
Occasional outagest are quite the pain. but that can come from a lot of software. That said, if I had to pick another item it would be that the integrations into other tools like slack needs to be improved.
Consider what's essential to your organization and what other tools you use - and if your tracking solution must integrate with those.
Problems beings solved: sprint planning and the project tracking across not only our specific group but the organization as a whole. We use it to keep everyone on track.
Shortcut has been a great application for the company I work for. We’ve used it for the last few years as a smaller start-up company but I can see how this would be very beneficial for a larger scale company as well. It's a great way for our team to collaborate together and stay on track with tasks/assignments. The workflows are easy to set up and understand and we all really enjoy using this product!
Nothing negative at this time. It's been very beneficial to me and the startup company I work for.
This is a great application to monitor and execute a productive workflow.
I wouldn't necessarily state that it's solving a problem but it's a better application for navigating our workflow than other products that we've used or experimented with in the past.
Shortcut is incredibly easy to use and by far the best project management tool I've used since I began working as a software engineer. It does a great job balancing between providing customization and advanced tooling for managers while keeping things intuitive and straightforward for the rest of us.
Honestly there isn't really anything for me to complain about. Shortcut does exactly what I need and has proven easy to pick up for new members of my team while also providing flexibility and depth for the more senior members to keep a good view on the overall state of the business.
I highly recommend trying Shortcut.
Shortcut allows my team to collaborate more effectively. I can update stakeholders on the status of my work, keep track of important dialogue between members assigned to a task, and easily refer to documents related to the work. Shortcut makes tracking the status of my work extremely straightforward.

I appreciate the quick and easy way to add tickets.
It would be nice to filter stories on the story view by epic. If this is already possible, I am unaware of it, but I think it needs to be prominently featured and not buried under filter conditions. Also, it would be cool if teams could be configured on a schedule. So, for example, Team1, Team2, and Firefighting. Then each member could be configured to be on specific teams based on a schedule that could be set up in advance.
