They do thorough background screening to make sure no data is missed. They make sure they are compliant with the laws/regulations.

No real issues, it is user friendly. Depending on the background information some results could take longer then anticipated.

You are using a background screening service to clear your candidates through the new hire process to work for your company or clients. The benefits are to run checks on who you are.

The background checks are really not a hassle and can be completed very quickly by the candidate and the return information comes in a reasonable amount of time.

We used this at my current company for awhile before switching over to Aurico, no real issues with it.

In the time that I had used it I thought it was a good company to go through, unfortunately we had something come through with our contract with Career Builder. I'm assuming it may have to do with price?

There is a delay in service where we receive late response which is issue during immediate hiring process.

It will take a longer time to get the results. The print of these results will take a much smaller size. The pricing is genuinely high for us to afford.

Fiding the right individuals

I do not like anything about ClearStar. We were using ESR, which was fine, but it was acquired by ClearStar and ever since the cutover to the new platform it has been the worst user experience I've ever had with any tool in almost 20 years of working in HR.

Everything - the UI is confusing and needs to be rethought; the system requires that everyone enter in an SSN even if it is a check for an international employee; we just found out after 4 months of using this tool that employees can decline to use an electronic signature which prevents the check from proceeding until we send them a release; the reports are difficult to read; it's not clear what requested information is missing so that we can help move the process forward.

It is supposed to run background checks but we have more background checks outstanding than completed because the system is so hard to use and there are things like sending a consent for a live signature about which we were never informed. We were forced into this platform due the acquistion of ESR and would never have selected this tool on our own.
