The free version doesn't have as many features as the paid version, so there are a few alerts and prompts that are repeated or not necessary. Some cleaning actions would need to be manually reviewed so as not to remove important files. Every once in a while, an update would change something in the interface that was odd. Generally speaking, it works well, but these petty annoyances pop up every now and then.

Need to be careful with registry clean but CCleaner makes it very clear you should use a back up.

Main thing it does for me is remove tracking cookies which is a huge help in many ways.

Ccleaner is easy to use. It provides various functions like cleaning cache, updating drivers, cleaning hard drives. It is useful to ensure good health of our PC's.

I haven't noticed any downsides as yet. The software is excellent!

CCleaner can remove registry errors, junk files and cleanup startup items all in one easy to use program. I even use it on my phone! The program is so easy to use that after I install it on customers computers to use, they are able to use the program on their own at home. Another pro is that if you have program files and folders that will not delete then you can add them through CCleaner as an exception and CCleaner will get the job done and remove them. That comes in handy when spam programs/viruses have been installed and the program files will not remove, CCleaner takes care of it!

I havent found any downsides to Ccleaner because it does so much in one single free program. I have not tried the paid version just yet though I soon will be purchasing it.

I randomly came across CCleaner years ago and have not used any other program since. Ccleaner is my go to program always to remove the registry errors, junk files and cleaning up the startup items. this type of programs can end up causing modifications in the system registry that may lead to serious errors if not handled correctly, to the point where it may be necessary to perform a complete reinstallation of the operating system. The only thing I dislike about Ccleaner is that it's not user-friendly for beginners. If it's not used carefully, it can remove files needed by specific applications and lead to functionality issues. Although it can help with privacy protection, it doesn't guarantee security as an antivirus software.

I run CCleaner on my laptop every week when I don't work so that it can scan thoroughly throughout the hard disk to look for errors, fragmentations, corrupted files, etc.

Strong registry cleaning 4. Paid version has a wonderful driver update version and thus is well recommended if your system is more than 2 years old (especially laptops)
