Payer enrollment forms, combining departments for a better work structure
The software is very intuitive. Providers have picked up the use of electronic applications quickly. I love the Drag and Drop images feature.
Lack of ability to customize reports. I would like a built-in reports editor.
It's the best I've tried and works great.
We went from a full paper process to fully automated and online. The speed and tracking ability is GREAT!
Since I am the only person responsible for credentialing 15 providers I like how I can keep track & stay on top of when licenses, DEAs, certifications, etc. are going to expire.
The forms coding is very time consuming and can be very fustrating.

Symplr Provider's base platform is clean and easy to navigate. It's not cluttered with unnecessary options, making it a breeze to find what I need. Navigating through different features feels natural and intuitive. I appreciate the level of customization available. It's not just about setting access levels; it's also about tailoring the whole experience to suit my preferences. Being able to adapt it to my workflow has made my tasks more efficient. Remote work is the norm now, and Symplr Provider seems to get that. It's much more portable compared to what I was used to before. I can access what I need from pretty much anywhere without much hassle.
The improvement in the query creation workflow is noticeable, especially if you've used older Symplr products. They've definitely stepped up their game in making the process smoother and less of a hassle. The built-in smart tools are a game-changer. They really do help in making things more streamlined and make the day-to-day tasks a bit easier. The creation and use of widgets allow for users to quickly view changes in their day-to-day tasks without additional need for running multiple queries. And the ability to run queries or reports in the background without disrupting other workflows is a welcome change.
When it comes to troubleshooting, having support tools at hand is a lifesaver. It's easy to find the help I need without jumping through hoops, which has saved me quite a bit of time. At the time of our implmentation Symplr recognized deficiences in the process and was able to course correct in a timely manner.
Overall, I'd say Symplr Provider has been a positive shift. It’s not perfect, but the improvements are noticeable and have genuinely made my work more efficient.
Our experience with Symplr during implementation left a bit to be desired. Symplr's initial project management team should have emphasized involving affected departments in the build and customization process, that step seemed to be overlooked. The lack of input from end-users had a noticeable impact during our go-live phase. It felt like certain crucial perspectives were missing, which affected the system's alignment with our actual needs.
Navigating the system takes some adjustment. Unlike in the past, the side-by-side viewing of different modules isn't as intuitive. This change in format has caused a learning curve, making it slightly less convenient to seamlessly switch between various sections.
Another downside, particularly evident if you don't purchase the full package, is the appearance of functions that users can't utilize. It leads to unnecessary clutter and confusion for users, which can be frustrating and counterproductive. It feels like there's a lack of customization in this aspect, leaving users with tools they can't actually leverage.
Moreover, deciphering errors isn't always straightforward for our administrators. Some errors lack clear explanations or resolutions, making troubleshooting a more time-consuming task than it should be. Some administrative functions within certain modules are harder to navigate. This complexity adds an extra layer of challenge for our team when performing routine administrative tasks, slowing down our workflow and adding to the learning curve.
Overall, while Symplr Provider has its strengths, these aspects have been notable pain points for us, affecting the smooth adoption and everyday usability of the system. We are confident with time we will be able to overcome most of these obstacles.
Symplr Provider is addressing several key challenges for our team. It's enhancing efficiency by streamlining file sharing and data updates, saving us valuable time while ensuring accuracy. The improved query efficiency is enabling swift identification of problematic data points, facilitating quicker resolutions.
Moreover, it's playing a pivotal role in our digital integration efforts. By consolidating data sources, it's helping us move away from disparate systems, fostering a more cohesive and manageable data environment.
Specifically for our payer enrollment team, it's optimizing processes, enhancing their efficiency, and ensuring smoother workflows. Additionally, for our remote associates, it's providing better, more tailored workflows, enabling them to work efficiently from anywhere. Overall, Symplr Provider is instrumental in addressing our operational challenges and driving significant improvements across multiple facets of our workflow.
Attention to detail, working with us to transition credentialing. Attentiveness of symplr staff.
The CVO and software teams do not coordinate well.
It is bringing credentialing services in house so that would become more self-sufficient.
I like that it encompasses all pieces of credentialing and provider enrollment.
I find it cumbersome to figure out how to get the software to do what I know it can do.
When we figure out how to get it to work, it will help us the most with our exclusions tracking.
The ability to write queries and add fields in forms. This is a powerful database while still maintaining customization and ease of use.
The level of support. The CSM is not engaged. Tier 1 support is pretty good when they answer the phone (not 24x7). No SLA for problem tickets.
Better work flows for staff makes for efficiency.
