What do you like best about Budgyt?Their customer service is top notch. I am able to get answers to my questions easily.What do you dislike about Budgyt?There is not a way for the user to revert back to an earlier version of their data if a mistake was made.What problems is Budgyt solving and how is that benefiting you?The ability to have different departments create their budget as well as track actuals, without sharing all information with all departments.

What do you like best about Budgyt?I find Budgyt fairly easy to use, and it provides all the information in a clean, concise form. It's also easy to share with people who need to see it.What do you dislike about Budgyt?It takes a little bit to understand how to put all the information into Budgyt to make it come out the way you want it to.What problems is Budgyt solving and how is that benefiting you?I use Budgyt to download financials from QuickBooks Online and present them to my leadership team and board. It makes data clean and accessible for those without QuickBooks access, providing easily understood results and reports. It's also easy to use and share information.

What do you like best about Budgyt?What I like best about Budgyt is the platform's flexibility and accessibility. As Controller, I rely heavily on the Budget vs. Actual, Prior Year, By Plant, and By Year/Period reports to analyze financial performance and explain variances. The ability to view results at a high level or drill down into detailed account categories and individual GL accounts makes it valuable to both executive management and the finance team. The cloud-based platform lets our President and other executives access current financial information from anywhere without a VPN or being in the office, which is especially helpful during month-end close. I also appreciate how easy it is to update data by uploading a trial balance or ledger detail file so current information is available quickly. The ability to filter reports by specific plants and periods and to export results to Excel for further analysis adds even more flexibility to the reporting process.What do you dislike about Budgyt?The primary enhancement I would like to see is the addition of Contribution Margin reporting. While the existing reporting capabilities are already strong, adding this metric would provide valuable extra insight into operational profitability and allow for more nuanced performance analysis. The Budgyt team has been responsive to this feedback and is actively considering the enhancement.What problems is Budgyt solving and how is that benefiting you?Budgyt addresses the challenge of quickly converting accounting data into meaningful financial information for management. Instead of spending significant time manually compiling reports, consolidating plant data, and preparing budget-to-actual or prior-year comparisons, we can upload our trial balance or ledger detail and immediately access standardized financial reports. The platform provides management with real-time visibility into performance by plant, period, and account detail, making it easier to pinpoint variances, track trends, and make informed business decisions. Its cloud-based accessibility also ensures executives can review financial results from anywhere, which is especially valuable during the month-end close process.

What do you like best about Budgyt?It integrates very well with Quickbooks Online. It lets department managers view and manage their budgets, forecasts, and actual revenue and expenses, while still limiting access so they only see the data they need. The support is very good, and the price is reasonable.What do you dislike about Budgyt?It has a learning curve, especially the employee module, but primarily for the administrator.What problems is Budgyt solving and how is that benefiting you?We used to do our budgeting in a Google Sheet, but it was a big hassle to consolidate all the information. Department managers had no access to their actual financial data. Now everyone can see the financial data they need and they are more knowledgeable about the business and how their department affects the business as a whole.

What do you like best about Budgyt?It's very intuitive and simple to use while producing robust reports.What do you dislike about Budgyt?It's not a full accounting package; compared to Financial Edge NXT, Budgyt would wind up far superior but, oh well. Sometimes I find a bazillion tabs open but would rather have that than not.What problems is Budgyt solving and how is that benefiting you?Clear, succinct and readable reports at any level.

What do you like best about Budgyt?I like that everyone is able to view Budgyt, including our program directors. It's pretty easy to sync data from QuickBooks or other accounting software into Budgyt after expenses are in. I also like the ability to duplicate budgets that have been set. Since there's a lot of work that goes into setting budgets, being able to duplicate them and make some changes is useful. Data syncing is really important, and it's been helpful for program directors who may not be comfortable with QuickBooks. Budgyt provides a rolled-up view of how program income and expenses look like for the month, the year, and historically. It allows us to get granular in details while also encouraging a high-level perspective.What do you dislike about Budgyt?I think the sync from QuickBooks includes all the line item expenses, but the search of those line item expenses is not very user-friendly in Budgyt. There are a lot of single transactions, like food costs or program contractor costs, and our program directors have a hard time rolling that up into the types of different expenses that fall under each category. We pay a lot of attention to this in budgeting, but don't have a great way of extrapolating that in Budgyt.What problems is Budgyt solving and how is that benefiting you?Budgyt helps us with planning, budgeting, and forecasting, including projecting revenue and net income. It allows us to compare forecasts to actuals, manage unexpected grants, and adjust to revenue changes efficiently.

What do you like best about Budgyt?I found a small programming issue on a report that I brought to James (Founder and CEO) attention, and received a same day response, with a follow up that the issue would be resolved within 3 business days. Now that's service! What do you dislike about Budgyt?I would like to be able to view data sheets from two different scenarios at the same time (on 2 different monitors) However as soon as you go to one, it wants to refresh to the other scenario. That may just be beyond their control, as a cloud based product. What problems is Budgyt solving and how is that benefiting you?No more massive spreadsheet with formulas that I couldn't trust other managers to use the file. Had to copy their input into my master file. Monthly forecasts were near impossible before. Better accuracy on payroll budgeting.

What do you like best about Budgyt?Recently Budgyt added the ability to roll up departments into regions and regions into entities, so essentially three layers. This will allow us to budget multiple locations under one entity wherever this is needed. What do you dislike about Budgyt?It might be interesting to allow various charts of accounts and fiscal years for different types of businesses. There are reasonable workarounds for these issues in Budgyt, but it isn't designed this way.Recommendations to others considering Budgyt?The problems we had before Budgyt: What problems is Budgyt solving and how is that benefiting you?1. Multiple versions of budget drafts - Budgyt provides a stable, centralized cloud location where the most updated version and even multiple scenarios can be curated clearly.

What do you like best about Budgyt?Easy to upload information, easy to navigate, and easy to manipulate how you need. What do you dislike about Budgyt?More report functions could be useful if you could personalize them.What problems is Budgyt solving and how is that benefiting you?Budgyt offers us the ability to more accurately forecast future years.

What do you like best about Budgyt?I now have four years with the software and have the ability to use the data and reports to make decisions based on a period of years. What do you dislike about Budgyt?I have no dislikes with the software! The team at Budgyt work hard and provide great customer service! I needed a custom chart for a Board meeting, and the team was able to provide it! What problems is Budgyt solving and how is that benefiting you?Budgyt is a huge time saver for me as it has simplified the budget process. Using an excel spreadsheet for 200 line items was very time consuming.
