Asset management

The ULTIMATE tool to have at hand is this distro. The backtrack community is also a great place to stay updated and receive help if the need arrives. Thanks for a great product Backtrack team!

It maybe a hard start for beginners to learn the tools for the first time. But I suggest studying the application of each tool, one by one. Understand how it is used and master it in time.

first tool I use when running penetration tests, right out of the box it has almost every tool that you would need for it. Had only a chance to use a couple of them, but no problems whatsoever.

As BACKTRACK contains most of the required tools and it is already configured for the tools like Burpsuite and Nessus. So, it makes an ideal platform to use.

I've tried various other distros but none seems as perfect as BACKTRACK.

The network connectivity issue and repositories act weird sometimes. But, as a penetration tester I got used to it. But, would love if BACKTRACK resolves this issue and make it feels like we're using a stable distro.

I'm working with crowdsourcing platform so, that's my day to day usage of BACKTRACK. I wish if I was that capable enough to make more use of it. However, as we all are learners and I will hopefully get the best out of it.

The Wi-Fi hacking tools in the software were very useful for testing the intrusion of wireless networks. Also, the metasploit tool in this software was a good tool that I used to run the exploit on the target computer.

some tools , exist this software had difficult configuration. and network configuration some time had a bug and update of some tools had problem.

I recommend using kali instead of BackTrack now because this developed tool is the same as BackTrack.

Some of the tools in this software were difficult to configure. Some tools did not work. Configuring network cards was also often a problem. Updating the tools in this software was usually not done correctly.

It gives the opportunity to deal with IT-related assets management which is very helpful to online users.

The website color scheme is not looking a professional color scheme.

A company use their product to manage their Hr and development-related tasks.

UI is more better than other distro of linux.

Its still lacking some libraries and packages.

Im using it for performing pentesting web , network ,app and Thick client.

The best thing is there is no limit on number of items or type of application for tracking. We can track assest movment , location and usage efficiently and accurately.

It is only supports windows platform. It will be better if supports for other platforms like linix and Mac Os are provided. Also it doesn't have any ios app. These thing can much improve the backtrack.

We were using it for fixed asset management. It was used for tracking assets. Which was beneficial for us to comply with oir ISMS policy. And it also helps inventory department to keep track of things.

The best part about the software is its reporting capabilities. Label creation is super easy. customizable

This software has nothing much to be disliked about. Could have had a better user interface

Asset tracking has helped reduce lost assets. Keeps the organisation accountable.
