For the money, unbeatable.

For the money, this is a great deal - unlimited backup space, remote access and a decent interface to review your backups. I am a music producer and Backblaze just sits in the background uploading my files to it's servers without me ever noticing. It has rescued me from a tight spot where I have accidentally over-written an important backup drive - Backblaze had all the lost files safe and sound and sent me a hard drive by UPS with all my lost data on it - phew. Another time I had a failure of a drive and was able to download my data straight to my replacement drive - again, amazing. I can also access all my backed up files remotely, which has been super useful a few times when working in other studios and when I've forgotten to bring a file or want to retrieve something from "home". Okay, the interface could be slicker and it could backup faster, but for the money, I am really happy.

Consistent, reliable, affordable

I can only speak to my experience, but I appreciate how reliable and un-pushy Backblaze is. At a time when it seems like every tech service is constantly trying to squeeze another dime out of you or shove AI into a ham sandwich, Backblaze just quietly does its job. You get an annual renewal notice before it happens, and I don't recall any major price hikes in the years I've been using them. I have used their service to recover files once and it worked well. I've had bad experiences with other tech services lately so I wanted to highlight one of the reliably positive companies I've dealt with.

BackBlaze is the BEST!!

I have been in search of an off-site cloud storage for my websites and after trying several, with one that remains solidly in my memory as 'horrendous,' I have found one that I have no reservations in recommending to others.

BackBlaze is easy, easy (yes, I typed that twice for emphasis) to navigate and equally as easy to create & implement the storage space for one's self.

I like to commend those who work hard to make life easier for their customers, since I have taken the time to do otherwise for those companies who seem to operate on the other end of the spectrum.

BackBlaze has earned a dedicated fan in the form of ME.

"Easy and More Proactive"

What do you like best about Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage?

Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage is easy, runs in the background AND gives regular monthly reports which my previous cloud storage vendor did not. The fee also feels very reasonable with a lot of space provided for that fee.

What do you dislike about Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage?

The report they provide on a regular basis is not necessarily written in terms a layperson (aka non-tech) can readily understand. Other than that, I love everything else.

What problems is Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage solving and how is that benefiting you?

Trusted, safe automatic backup in case I have to do a restore at any point. It's also a duplication of what my external hard drive captures locally, giving me double coverage and peace of mind. I cannot speak to the ease of recovery since I have yet to need that feature, though I have the feeling it will be easy and complete.

Perplexed and confused by poor ratings...

In common with the other 5 star reviewers here, I’m taken aback by the number of bad revies for this organisation. As a photographer based in Scotland, I’ve used Backblaze to back up my images for over 6 years and have found them to be effective, efficient and communicative. Every single time I’ve reached out to them, a named individual has responded withing 24 hours and that same person has seen the conversation through to a conclusion. Having previously recovered individual images, I’ve just used them to recover 2tb of images due to me (like a total eejit) dropping an external drive. The recovery process was simple and within a week I had a 2tb drive with all my images delivered to my door.
Just my opinion, but I believe that the vast majority of the poor reviews are down to user-error and people simply not taking due care when linking all their drives.
I may not have used them if I’d seen these reviews, but I’ll continue with Backblaze and can’t recommend them highly enough…

Reliable: Backblaze Cloud Backup is a reliable backup solution. My data will always be available when I need it, and I don't have to worry about losing my files due to downtime or other issues.

While Backblaze Cloud Backup is an excellent backup solution overall, one potential downside is that it only offers a single device backup plan. This may be limiting for individuals or businesses with multiple devices that need to be backed up. Additionally, while Backblaze's encryption technology is strong, some users may prefer the ability to use their own encryption keys for added security.

What problems is Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage solving and how is that benefiting you?

As someone who heavily relies on their computer for both personal and professional use, the thought of losing all of my important files is a major source of stress. However, since I started using Backblaze Cloud Backup, I have been able to breathe a little easier knowing that all of my data is safely backed up and easily retrievable in case of an unexpected loss or data breach. Backblaze's user-friendly interface and affordable pricing have also made it a seamless addition to my daily routine, giving me the peace of mind to focus on what really matters without worrying about the safety and security of my data.

"Best in the business and continuing to get better"

What do you like best about Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage?

I've been using Backblaze and their computer backup program for years. It's been rock solid, and restores are super easy. It's so good, I brought them to my workplace and used them to back up every single team member's computers for peace of mind. With the increased growth of B2 now, it has become a crucial part of our arsenal of tools to protect our client's secure data.

What do you dislike about Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage?

There's nothing to dislike. My only recommendation would be adding additional EU ingest points for B2 data (and maybe they have that, I don't know.)

What problems is Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage solving and how is that benefiting you?

By using B2 for backup storage instead of AWS S3, we are saving hundreds of dollars a year in storage costs. Since its S3-compatible, we can use many existing tools, plugins, and APIs to get our data there quickly and easily. Hard to argue with the cost savings.
