Design, Prototype & Collaborate with Precision- A deep dive into Axure RP !

What do you like best about Axure RP?

Powerful Prototyping is one of the best features of Axure RP with Animations creating realistic experiences.

What do you dislike about Axure RP?

Team Collaboration is another great feature offered by Axure RP. Project sharing, Version control and commenting makes it more interactive and poroductive.

Recommendations to others considering Axure RP?

Customer support is good.

The easiest and most flexible prototyping tool

What do you like best about Axure RP?

Its fast and flexible. There's nothing you CAN'T do with Axure RP.

What do you dislike about Axure RP?

The tables are actually a very inefficient cluster of rectangles. They can really slow things down sometimes. Also, they are not easy to make look "perfect" without a lot of extra coding.

What problems is Axure RP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Axure RP allows all stakeholders to know EXACTLY what to expect of the finished product, before the first line of code has been written.

What do you like best about Axure RP?

I find the most helpful thing about Axure is its ease of use, offering all kinds of design solutions and excellent performance when showing it to colleagues, making it the most helpful tool when creating prototypes.

What do you dislike about Axure RP?

I do not like the amount of work required to connect lines, having a key to repeat the connections in design with the platform would help tremendously and make the experience even better.

What problems is Axure RP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Axure RP helps prototyping the new solutions for us System Analysts that require you to show something in a special way, it helps us be more productive when talking to developers about new jobs.

Hands down the best prototyping tool for logic-based user flows

Being able program complex state-based logic without any coding.

What do you like best about Axure RP?

Most powerful, easy-to-use wireframing tool. One can quickly build high-fidelity prototypes using simple drag-and-drop options. Using dynamic panels, we can make UI look more realistic. With Axure cloud its easy to share, collaborate with peers.

What do you dislike about Axure RP?

Image processing tools are unavailable, which makes the users dependent on Graphic designers to get the required icons/custom shapes. Enhance the Pen tool with more options

Visuals convey the message better than words. Axure RP helps thousand of companies to transform their project requirements into Visual requirements. One can see the interface, which is close to the final result and sign off for development,.This tool allows designers to build low to very high fidelity prototypes.

I would like to have more icons, and components to be available by default rather than having to download them from the Axure forum

The initial learning curve may seem steep but once you start using it, the tool is very powerful. Look up helpful videos on the Axure forum.

Axure is great for visualization

What do you like best about Axure RP?

I love how I can create visual content for anything with a user interface quickly with Axure. I love how easily I can share those visualizations with team members, whether internal or external. I also love creating my mockups to be as simple or complex as needed. It's excellent for testing and development—outstanding, great tool.

What do you dislike about Axure RP?

There's not much to dislike. I suppose there are other tools like iRise that offer more of a development-like tool to create more complex mockups, but I've found that the simpler you can make your visualizations, the easier they are to be adopted. Everyone should just keep it simple in my opinion.

Recommendations to others considering Axure RP?

Axure is inexpensive and easy to use. Start with a free trial and learn all you can about it. It's a great tool.

What problems is Axure RP solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're trying to get to market quickly. Axure allows us to show a mockup of an application or website quickly. This way, we can get the client's feedback and incorporate it into the finished product.

Outstanding, top-of-the-line wireframing tool

What do you like best about Axure RP?

Axure RP is a top-notch wireframing tool. Of the various tools I've used, including Balsamiq and Adobe products, I've found Axure to be the best-in-class solution for wireframing specifically.

What do you dislike about Axure RP?

The wireframing capability of Axure RP is top-notch. For prototyping, I prefer Adobe XD, which I find easier to use and more powerful in its range of applications.

What problems is Axure RP solving and how is that benefiting you?

I used Axure RP to create some robust wireframes for group projects while getting my MFA. Outstanding tool, and I appreciate that Axure offers a free student license (which recently expired for me, so I'm not currently a user of this product).

The 'logical' choice!

What do you like best about Axure RP?

I really like the fact that we can 'code' conditional statements and have a logical formatting. For example, we can have IF/THEN statements to have different interactions based on different 'inputs'. This is much easier than creating multiple screens/boards and then linking them up individually. I have not seen this feature in any other apps I have used.

What do you dislike about Axure RP?

I do not have any issues with the app. But, I imagine that the interface may seem a little daunting to new users because of its similarity with coding platforms. The learning curve is ever so slightly steeper than other prototyping software.

What problems is Axure RP solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problem we are solving is, of course, prototyping software and testing it with users before handing it off to the developers for the final builds. The benefit of RP, in particular, is that it is closer to code (HTML/CSS) than other platforms. This feature makes it more friendly to developers.

Powerful Prototyping software

What do you like best about Axure RP?

I've used most prototyping solutions out there, Sketch, Adobe XD, Invision, etc. and I found repeatedly that none of them match that power that Axure has. Occasionally I'll think, "I'll try to build this in [ insert software ]" and most times I regret it. Variables, dynamic states, the pre-built widget library (what a time saver that is!!); all are great.

What do you dislike about Axure RP?

It's visual design capabilities could continue to use improvement and collaboration. For instance, we are using Figma to form our visual design library because there are a few things we can't do in Axure visually. However, when I go to build a functional page, with dynamic states and everything, I'm reminded that Axure does that far better, so I often end up building 2 things - a visual version and then a functional version. One day I hope to have a tool that does both well!

What problems is Axure RP solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Axure for our really functional software. We can truly see how a product will work and make sure we've worked through how a use case will be done.
