Though it doesn't have the traffic and some of the opportunities you can only get from a LinkedIn, it's way more personal; connections mean something, recommendations mean something. More of an intimate community.

In your face selling upon requesting to connect is not part of Alignable, so that's refreshing. However, it's a bit mystifying how to monetize the community networking.

It's got a pretty intuitive interface. Like all new platforms, it takes a while to become used to it. Works much along the same lines as other social media platforms designed for business. Another tool in the toolbox!

it can become political sometimes. I wish people would focus on business and not attack or demonize others for having differing opinions or points of view. Some users have become 'hackey'. But it's obvious who those users are and simply ignore their posts.
