We implemented Able for paperless onboarding right at the beginning of quarantine and the change from faxing/emailing paperwork to Able's paperless onboarding was incredible! It's easy, it's secure, and it was a gamechanger in our entire onboarding process.
Every so often, we do have a candidate have issues completing the forms on an old web browser or something along those lines but we don't really fault Able for that.
Certainly, with things still being done remove for the most part, online onboarding is a necessity! It's also been handy in running E-Verify and other HR/compliance standards.
I love how easy it is to create notes, it automatically repopulates the page, and it allows me to view a candidate’s onboarding page from my computer!
I dislike that my company has not been using it longer!
Please take that leap of faith with EmployStream! Their customer service is impeccable and they also offer great updates with the website!
I solve the onboarding completion delay issues with candidates who are not computer saavy and it saves me so much time to do other tasks for the day
I like using EmploySteam because it is very simple and user friendly. I am able to see what the candidate puts in for their information which allows me to catch any errors they may make. I also like that we can see when they have opened, viewed or completed the paperwork because it gives me a better idea in how far along we are in the on boarding process.
Something I dislike about EmploySteam is that when it sends 1st email to the candidates, it sends them 2 emails verses making it just 1 email. Sometimes the candidate gets confused because they have go to back and forth between the 2 emails for their username/password and then has to log in using the link in the other email.
I would recommend EmployStream to others. It makes the on boarding process for both the Admin and User very quick and easy.
As a business, EmploySteam saves us a lot of time. Using EmploySteam, candidates are able to get their new hire paperwork done online instead of having to come into the office and complete the paperwork. It also gives them the opportunity to go back in and update any new information. A benefits is that we are able to stay more on top of communication with our candidates and all new hire paperwork is completed correctly. It is also helpful that my co workers are able to see all of a candidates paperwork as well.
Customer support is great and easy to work with.
We do not have the best ATS in place so at times we do not fully utilize the Able platform.
Test everything and ask a lot of questions during buildout/onboarding to make transition smooth for administrative users. Had to learn a lot of trouble shooting tips on the fly.
Being able to offer applicants paperless onboarding that was designed to be completed on a phone has completely changed our onboarding speed.
Our company did manual I9's before using Employstream. Now it just allow our travel nurses to go in and complete their portion of the I9. We then complete section two. all electronic :)
so far so good. I don't dislike it because it's better than having the manual process of completing I9's
No problems so far. every now and then some of the travelers can't get logged in but I believe it's user error as most of them are able to get in without issue.
It is easy to use and usually does not have any issues. It also loads quickly even though it stores lots of data.
Adding in paperwork packets is a little time consuming.

Employstream integrates with our ATS. It is an easy process and very simple to onboard someone. The steps are basically common sense.
Not much to dislike. The system can do a better job of adding Everify into the workflow.
Onboarding is an essential part of the staffing industry. Problems being solved are problems we probably don’t take notice of or take for granted.
Its integration with Bullhorn ATS, it makes it easier for Recruiters to work in a single platform. Support also is really good.
No Reports available, extremely basic reports.
If you need comprehensive reports this is not the right software for you.
We had paper-based Onboarding and we had too many challenges trying to have docs signed organized and available so we know that having a paperless Onboarding would be a great benefit in terms of documents organization and also offering a better experience to Applicants and New Hires.
The process of filling out documents and e-signing them is by far the most value this product delivers on. You map all the documents you need filled out or signed, the software creates a form or forms that only require the candidate to provide the information once, and then an easy point click way to sign the documents. For our business, the mobile first aspects of it are a big plus as well.
The other features don't work as seamlessly. Credentials requirements are all ad hoc.
Also they don't currently support conditional workflows. So if someone changes their name, I'd like to automatically prompt a workflow for a name change affidavit.
Getting compliance requirements for employment out of the way quickly and efficiently to help our team manage larger workloads.

As an "I-9 Champion" in our office, I find it most helpful to have the ability to check for and resolve any incomplete cases, such as pending photo matches, TNCs, unconfirmed data, submission failures, and all other pending I-9 tasks under the I-9/E-Verify tab for all employees and not just one at a time.
I have not noticed any downsides of Able by Bullhorn yet. We've been using it for a few years now, and I find it very reliable and up-to-date. I also can't think of any improvements that should be made.
