Yellowbrick is an outstanding high performance data platform that is straightforward to implement and maintain. It has proven itself to be an enterprise-class analytics platform with rich workload management and security features capable of supporting hundreds of users across data science, business intelligence, data engineering, and AI.

Our implementation of Yellowbrick involved a large scale migration of existing data assets and analytics products - an effort that was well supported through methodology backed by automated tooling. Interoperability with common data warehouse technologies further allowed us to leverage existing investments in key components such as data acquisition pipelines and end user analytics while upgrading data warehouse capabilities.

Support for geospatial data is not yet available in the version implemented, although we look forward to adopting this in the near future as the roadmap is realised.

Yellow Brick Appliance, is a very efficient database that can help companies to store a big amount of that and retrieve in fastest ways. Different use cases can be implemented.

In some cases the compatibility with ETL tools are not ready, always you can use YB tools, however is not something easy according the data strategy.

Offer data to business users in a quick and easy way

The cluster implementation process is simple and quicker, per Postgresql engine, SQL is easy to use while supports much complex queries and quick to integrate with variour client softwares. The speed of processing, export & importing data is phenominal.

The product do not support user defined functions.

What I like the most is that it is a platform that has come to improve our quality of life after several setbacks. We have managed to achieve our goals more easily, simply, and quickly. It is a cutting-edge technology that allows us to enjoy great benefits.

Until this moment, there is nothing in particular that I dislike, we are very happy using it.

It has allowed us to concentrate all the company's data in a single repository despite the fact that the volume is very exponential; currently, there is only one single truth of the data for the entire company.

The Yellowbrick support team was outstanding in providing support and the solutions my team needed to meet my team's objectives. My team and I had the requirement to load high-volume data into a Yellowbrick database in a performant way, and when it turned out that the initial solution suggested by the Yellowbrick team ran into performance and out-of-memory issues, rather than putting the onus of finding the fix or an alternative approach on my team, the Yellowbrick team "owned" the issue and went so far as to provide fairly complex custom code (and multiple version of it to resolve additional issues that were encountered) to help us achieve what we needed to do. Also, on other unrelated questions and issues my team had, the Yellowbrick team was always very responsive providing prompt feedback, and I never felt that I needed to make an effort to draw out information or responses from them. This shows great commitment to customer service and to making sure that our company's engagement with Yellowbrick is a success. Thanks to all the members of the Yellowbrick support team!

I wasn't part of the evaluation that led to my company's purchase of Yellowbrick's product/license. From what I've experienced so far with the Yellowbrick product and their support team for 5 months, I can't think of anything that I have disliked.

Easy to migrate from other MPP systems and exceptional query peformance with no need of any DBA.

Can migrate from Netezza to Yellowbricks by running as is code with minimal changes.

GUI for monitoring, user access and workload management.

Minimal to zero DBA activities.

Flexible deployment option across various cloud services platforms and enriched UI/UX experience

Limited integration option on the data security front. Should have more integration options on the roadmap with leading encryption and tokenization solution providers

Eliminates data silos, allows bringing multiple data sources together, and perform analytics without worrying about how to scale faster

Some problems in the releases have some bugs to fix

Yellowbrick is a powerful platform, very fast, easy to use, fast setup to run, very low downtimes for actualization

Our production timeframe decreased considerably, so with could add more processes, we can add more areas to use the platform
