Good GUI, although it could have been simpler

The GUI might be a bit confusing for novice/beginners.

It is a user-friendly system with various features.

The English language appears to be the only feature of the system. It would be nice to be able to recommend the system to other folks

The Xirrus Management system is a cloud based tool, which provides visibility from anywhere and you are not tied down to a physical controller.

There was some compexity in the setup, but the VAR that was responsible for implementation was very knowledgable and figured out ironed out all of the issues.

Centralized management of

I like that I am able to manage all my services from one centralized point. It is great for me to manage the 10 AP's that I am currently running to create a mesh environment for my company/warehouse.

Honestly, it is not very robust in details about the current network. Plus considering the alternatives on the market, as well as the cost associated with them and their hardware, its hard to stick with them. Additionally, renewal is like pulling teeth. You have to submit via email they give you a little over 30 days notice before expiration, and then you have to hope and pray they respond before the expiration. Last year when renewing, it did not go smoothly and we lost access for about 2 weeks. The AP's were running, but they were unmanaged.

At this point it is not helping us solve any problems, sometimes it is more creating them. I have switched to UniFI for all my network hardware recently. Initially this was for the purpose of managing the AP's and our WAP for our warehouse and office.

I like the ease of being able to configure the AP from GUI or web interface. Adding the AP to profile etc is quite simple. Updating the firmware is also quite easy to do.

Not a fan of how slow the XMS system is to respond. Granted, we have hundreds of AP's. When scrolling through the list of AP's, if you scroll even one tiny "scroll" too much, it scrolls the page way down the list going way past where you needed. Just wish it wouldn't be so sensitive to scrolling. Sometimes it doesn't report correct information in real time. If an AP is offline on XMS, often logging into the switch shows that it is in fact online, so stats aren't always reliable.

Managing AP's for our internet customers is important when they are having issues. Benefits of using XMS management allows us troubleshoot any issues, see the AP's at a glance, and configure en masse.
