World Geocoder for ArcGIS Reviews

I like the fact that it recognizes multiple address formats, as well as some coordinate formats. In addition, I do not have to be trying to locate an address in my jurisdiction -- it can locate addresses and locations all over the world.

I dislike the fact that I have to be signed-in/connected to ArcGIS Pro and when I'm not, it causes my system to freeze for several seconds while it loads the login box.

If you are using an enterprise product and have GIS support from your local government entity, see if they have an interlocal geocoder built before settling with the World Geocoder. It is good, but local addresses and locations are better verified using locally-sourced data from the Property Appraiser/Assessors Office and your local GIS folks.

I work in law enforcement as an intelligence/crime/GIS analyst. I use this geocoder with TriTech/Omega CrimeView and ESRI ArcGIS Desktop to locate problem areas in the county/city, and sometimes, to convert coordinates.

ESRI puts out a very nice piece of software that integrates well with other systems and websites. There is a huge community of users as well as developer conferences to increase skills and knowledge.

Licensing is really expensive if you are NOT a non-profit, even government agencies are not exempt!

You should use this product if you are a non-profit!

Geocoding allows us to feed in client addresses and we get back Lat/Long coordinates. With this data, we are able to map where our services are provided and where our clients come from.
