I like its simplified, scaled-down, easy-to-navigate UI compared to vSphere. It works seamlessly for virtualizing devices, and it’s very stable when it comes to performance. Support is great as well, especially since you can find most answers in the community forums, which makes troubleshooting issues much easier. Overall, it’s very cost-effective.

Whenever there’s a new Windows feature upgrade, VMware Workstation Pro tends to run into compatibility issues with the updated OS features. So the integration with newer OS realeses does not always work well

It gives us the ability to run isolated operating systems such as Windows, Linux, etc. We use it to test software, and we also host labs for junior teams to explore and expand their practical knowledge. This supports the team’s career development, and there is no downtime to production.

I like that VMware Workstation Pro is easy to install and configure, especially for users who are working with virtual machines for the first time. It's also noticeably easier to configure VMs compared to other hypervisors like VirtualBox, which made our team switch to it. I find it particularly efficient to add resources to the VMs to simulate a production server environment, which is helpful for teaching Linux.

I use VMware Workstation Pro as a hypervisor for virtual machines when teaching Linux. It's easy to install and configure, especially for first-time users, and simplifies adding resources to simulate production environments. We switched from VirtualBox because it was harder to configure VMs there.

VMware workstation allows to create multiple Vartual Machines over any operating systems.

We can use linux environment on windows desktop to practice and learn linux systems.

We can create restore points which allows us to rollback changes easily.

Easy to install and implement based on our resources availability.

I really cannot list anything I do not like about VMware Workstation Pro, even after having used it for several years. You will want to make sure your computer has sufficient memory and speed to get the best results.

Sometimes takes a lot of time to start, security reset is quite a hassle.

What I don't like is that if we don't have a license, we can't use the virtualizer.
