Nothing really, it's what I would expect for these types of security solutions.

Their main strength is their encryption security services which I think how many people found them originally.

After reviewing several tools for full disk encryption, landed on WinMagic's SecureDoc as it has very competetive price and is loaded with lot of features.

As a company policy we have to secure all laptops and mobile devices so that it can fulfill the international standard security features and we were looking for a user friendly tool which comes in our budget.

One of my network person installed a different OS on a pre-boot encrypted hard disk only to find that it has to be first decrypted using WinMagic tool. The data is lost forever even after consulting the customer care. One way it is good that my pre-boot encryption is working like a gym; at the same time it would be great to handle this kind of human errors as an Administrator.

The support for this product is unmatched and easily my favorite thing. Every single technician that I've worked with has been responsive and extremely knowledgeable. With very limited initial setup this system has been running with very little upkeep.

We do periodically run into random issues but the knowledge base is great and the support technicians are also very good.

Our main problem is simply protection on our Laptops to ensure data is protected. We are also using Winmagic to enforce encryption of USB devices. Our biggest benefit is that the system is fairly self sufficient.

The fact that after you encrpt and secure the device it is easy for the end user. It is quicker than the last encryption we used.

Sometimes the password changes would not stick. So you would have to sync the passwords a time or two.

Make sure to keep on top of patches and server maintenance.

I like the ease of management and deployment. I also like that I don't have to license and use enterprise editions of windows. It also works across multiple platforms.

The implementation service is an additional charge. Also there needs to be more wireless drivers supported for the pre-boot environment.

Make sure you get the right licenses that need. A dedicate server is best as the product uses a lot of ports and services. Purchase the integration service as it is well worth the money all though I do believe this should be included with the product.

We need to make sure data was encrypted so that if mobile workstations or mobile phones were lost or stolen no data could be compromised. We have realized a great deal of control and assurance that the data will always be safe and regulations can be met.

This is very user friendly and easy to use once familiar with it.

Of the encryption methods we've tried, securedoc is certainly the hardest to get around.

Whenever we need to reimage a computer, we dread the ones that are secure doc'ed, because even though our reimaging methods are secure and erase all computer drives, our imaging process (via IPV4/PXE) can't get through secure doc.

I would recommend avoiding this software unless other solutions are outside of budget
