Performance: The Raw Power Advantage

The first thing I noticed was the sheer speed. With many providers we’ve used in the past, performance often felt throttled or tied to older hardware; Vultr, by contrast, feels built for high-stakes environments.

Our Experience: We moved our database-heavy applications to their High-Frequency Compute nodes (utilizing 3GHz+ AMD EPYC™ processors).

I use Vultr to run a server in the cloud for an IoT invention, and it was an easy setup. I really like that it's consistent on uptime, has a server viewer, and I can SSH into the server since I'm comfortable with the command line. The setup offered me a choice of operating systems, like Ubuntu LTS, and I was able to harden my server and set up the necessary MQTT protocol quickly, sending data within about an hour. What stands out for me is that Vultr is cost-effective and scalable, making it the best solution for what I'm doing. I moved away from HiveMQ due to cost issues and considered Digital Ocean, but chose Vultr for its cost and functionality.

Vultr solves my issues of using software with hardware monitoring, helps retrieve data, offers uptime consistency, SSH capability, quick setup, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.

What I appreciate about Vultr is that, as a user, I have robust access to my servers. The pricing is transparent, and the platform is straightforward and user-friendly, featuring a well-designed interface that makes the experience enjoyable. Additionally, installing and setting up services is very easy.

There are a few challenges when you encounter an issue, and it can be a bit frustrating since support is ticket-based and there is no option for instant call assistance.

Vultr addresses the challenges of complex and costly cloud infrastructure. Many cloud platforms offer powerful features, but they are often difficult to navigate, require significant time to manage, and can lead to unpredictable expenses.

Vultr is very affordable and easy to setup it also offers flexible VPS .Its clear pricing is making it covenient for developers and small teams.

Good PAAS application. I'm new to vultr assigned to handle customer's requirements for creating infrastructure and majorly utilise the object storage part as part of data collection and handling.

We have been using Vultr to host multiple side projects inclusing some docker container. And here 3.5$ instances comes handy and best suited for mini deployments. Also the prepaid payment option is very handy, allows you to topup the account with PayPal or credit card and use those in creating instances.

Nothing to dislike as such, however the UI and interface of the Vultr dashboard can be improved. UI feels bit laggy and outdated.

I don't need to talk to support. They self-serve and easy to understand and deploy infrastructure is amazing. The few times I do needed to talk to someone, they went above and beyond to help me solve what was not really in their scope.

The server monitoring lacks information, so I usually solve that by installing a third party monitoring app.
