The flexibility. With this software we have been able to schedule volunteers online which takes out the hassle of multiple emails and checking schedules back and forth. Volunteers are able to sign up for a shift that works best for them and even suggest a change if they want a different shift. we have used sign up genius for certain events but this one seemed to cover all bases and worked well for us with minimum intervention on our part. The app also is a plus. There are automatic reminders sent out to volunteers, so while you are focusing on your event, the app takes care of volunteers.

Nothing much to dislike about this product except the price. We only used it for two events after really liking the trial version for another event. It can cost more, but we have the $25 a month and for a non profit that is very expensive. I feel the cost should be more affordable.

If you want to be able to schedule volunteers easily and skip long lines, so to speak, this is the way to go. You can create new tasks, volunteers can update their preferences and its great for recurring volunteer tasks.

Ability for us to sign up volunteers without emailing lot of people. We have a volunteer base of over a 100 people. And going back and forth was a hassle and slowed down office work, specially when we had a big event around the corner.

Volunteers can mage their own schedules and put their positions up for sub requests. Also the rosterizer feature is great for becoming a data informed volunteer manager.

I would like to have more editable flags. Also on the management side it runs slowly.

I am able to track attendance using the mobile kiosk which helps in my initiative to cut back on paper use.

Much easier than hand writing and filling people in manually

I like that you can "set it and forget it." If you can train your volunteers to request subs through the system, it will take care of getting someone for their spot without you having to do anything. It also reminds people of their shift by email and text, which is great because people without a regular shift forget. They can check their schedule and sign up for shifts on their own through an app which is also great.

I wish that it was something you logged into online rather than downloading the software to your machine. It would be nice to be able to get on from outside the office without having to put the software on your personal computer. I wish that as an admin you could use the app to change the schedule or add some one in quickly on the fly. Many times I have my phone but not my computer when I get an in person request for a schedule change.

We run a recreation center entirely on volunteers. VSP helps us schedule, remind, and find replacements for 80+ volunteer hours a week. We could not run it without it.

I wish there were a free version for non profits
