Visix Digital Signage Reviews

We have several Visix screens throughout our main buildings, and they are easy to customize and update. You can have different messages on different screens, using location as a strategy for your messaging. Some of our signs are silent, whereas others play audio.

I don't dislike anything about Visix, but I would suggest having a clear protocol in place for when a sign stops functioning correctly. In my experience, they rarely glitch, but having a "broken" digital sign for even a few hours can be problematic.

I work at a community college, and we often have the issue of students not being prepared enough for their advising appointments, especially with regards to understanding our registration system. To address this problem, we began playing video registration tutorials (with audio) on the Visix screen in the area where students wait to meet with their advisor.

Visix works fast if all of the fields are answered correctly.

Visix isn't as intuitive as using Instagram or other picture/video. I had a little bit of training to close the gap between what I knew (I know how to edit videos on Adobe Premiere) and how to use Visix. There are a lot of buttons to click for specific content creation (i.e. message, link, web, etc.), so knowing which one will help in posting pictures and videos.

Have someone from your team show you how to use AxisTV Visix or watch tutorial videos.

Visix is used to place images, gifs, and videos on the TVs around campus remotely. I just create a PDF in the correct dimensions and add it to Visix.

Appliance based solution, pre-packaged templates. On-going support is excellent. In our situation, they were very helpful in coming on-site multiple times to provide no only training to end users, but support of technical issues.

Cost, dependency on windows os. I would like to see more attention on cloud solutions. I find the interface far too complex and poorly designed. There are too many screens- would prefer a more stepped through process. One major issue is that the devices need to see the outside internet to work, in some environments, this is not easy.

Be certain to take advantage of their excellent training program from the beginning, throughout implementation, and throughout usage. It is best to start with them right from the beginning.

Large scale enterprise management of digital signage is well implemented. The training offered is some of the best I have seen or used. Would like to see more integration with resellers of their products and training.

I like how easy it is to use, I like the customer support.

I wish there was a way to group messages and move them around the playlist more. It is hard to get a live stream running on the system.

It was feature-rich, though we never dove into the more advanced features due to dedicated digital signage staff.

The UX was difficult and unintuitive. I didn't touch this product often, and every time I did, it felt like starting over. Also, the individual players were incredibly high maintenance. It felt like we had to reimage them every quarter.

Ability to show digital signage and emergency notifications around campus. However it was so hard to maintain and setup that it was not worth the hassle. It was so tempermental.

When it works, it does deliver content to various screens around campus.

This has to be the clunkiest content management system on the market. Files uploaded to this system must all be renamed as it it lacks the ability to read any metadata, to include file names. The system does not work on Mac. You have to install Windows VM Ware for it to function. The entire process of adding content is tedious and terribly time consuming. It took me hours to upload 20 images to this system.

My use of this system has been limited. Unfortunately, it has not led me to believe that it will become easier with exposure.

It delivers content to screens around campus. When it works this is the sole benefit and functionality that it has to offer.
