The Userful Visual Networking Platform is very easy to learn and manage your content. This is something that I was having issues with other similar products out there.
The calibration part could be improved to allow somehow this to be done remotely, without access to the actual screens/video walls. This will help a lot since it won't require going on site to make the changes.
Managing content is the most important part for us and never had issues with it.
Our company enjoys using Userful for presentations where the presenter isn't in the same room, sometimes not even in the same time zone. The ability to assign people to the platform and give them access to share their screen or to cast a presentation saves our time and effort!
This software tool takes some work to learn how to navigate through it and to learn how to get it to do the things that you want it to do. Once we learned how to navigate the software program, we have been able to do everything we wanted to do.
We use it for digital signage but have also researched other functionality. The main functionality - video wall (use of a cluster of TV's or monitors to create one image), has served our company the best.
The fact that you can easily and seamingless integrate devices and manage all from ONE place/portal is already great feature to have. The usage report is also a great tool to have handy just to make sure that we're taking advantage of all aspects of device usage. Dark mode/theme is also great to have!
Not sure if there's an aspect I dislike about the portal just yet, maybe the ability to see the actual IP address from where each user is logging in exaclty from? Although yes the Trusted Locations is probably a good start but doesn't look like you'd be able to see other user's trusted locations.
To easily manage our video wall/screens. Easily be able to display/present what's requested right away & remotely last minute.
Easy platform to learn and use.
Product has been a staple on my casino floor, very rarely have any issues with it.
There isn't anything about the product I do not like.
Easy to manage and view issues.
Very easy to manage and use! The web interface is perfect!
The only thing I can think of is the upgrade process, possibly making it a 'one-click' process.
I work in a very rebost network environment, being able to visualize everything has simplified the troubleshooting process.
Installation and setup was intuitive and easy. We were up and running quite quickly.
Hardware specs for the controller server were a bit difficult to nail down. But we got there eventually.
Userful gives the NOC plenty of screen real estate for monitors, camera feeds, and product demos.
The cloud-based, quick and flexible solution. We really like being able to manage our video wall in groups or as presets to focus on service alerting for critical services. We are able to use it functionally as a command center + its ability to be visually pleasing.
Initial setup of the solution when doing it in-house and the learning curve of the admin console. I think any service will have a learning curve but maybe some best practices based on the solution/use-case would be beneficial.
A 24x7 Command Center Video wall. Userful is providing the solution to display all of our cloud-based and infrastructure monitoring services. We are able to display what's most critical with the ability to switch video displays with easy - anywhere and at any time.
The versatility of functions and that everything is at the IP level.
The best qualities for me are:
-Multiple input formats
-Management via web
-The versatility in the composition of desks
It would be very interesting to be able to integrate multicast flows type RTP or RTSP, as well as remote desktop managers like Radmin. With these two improvements for me it is a perfect tool
Before, I had to have a server room near my control center to carry the video signals. Now, since everything is based on IP, I can have my decentralized control center
It is super quick and responsive when displaying new content. Software is always up to date and there is little interaction from any of our team members to change content.
It is not fully plug-and-play and requires some knowledge of networking to redirect your clients to your server and have your server connect to internet/userful systems.
Multiple TV displays for maps and control center information in our operation center and at our base locations. It helps our team to see flight information quickly without any interaction from their side.
