It is very easy to navigate through very good on know all the info on the freight and drivers updates
System look a little outdated other than that I think it a pretty good program

My company uses TMW for invoicing, settling, dispatching, record management, and more. I have realized the benefit of keeping historical data.

it does record orders great, we have on hand lots of information for orders
Great to track where the loads are and what truck is carrying which load. Great to track all types of drivers. From hourly, mileage, owner ops, and independent contractors. Once paperwork is checked in (which is easy) the billing process can start. TMW is set up to get run with Great Plans which is nice. Once the billing is done and reviewed in TMW and sent over to GP all the sales get auto uploaded to GP. Usually without any issues.
Setting up drivers and driver loads that have tariffs can be hard and time consuming. Id drivers are not set up correctly from the start there will be problems with pulling in the drive information for loads. If billing items are not entered and set up properly they will cause an VERY big issue in the long run. And are timely to fix
Make sure when the set up and install is done that you go with those directly form TMW to help with this. Also take time and money to have them come in and work one on one with your staff. TMW has many useful things in it but people need to know they are there and how to best use them
The coordination between dispatch and the accounting side are easier. Dispatch does not have to go into the accounting side of things and visa verse. It is a great comfort as an accountant knowing that all the information that those out side the accounting department need to enter can be done in a different system and that accountant data will not be corrupted
Our company utilizes TMWSuite as an all-in-one product for dispatching, file maintenance, scheduling and accounting needs. It has excellent customization and is very moldable to your business needs.
One thing I would love to see improved is the overall user experience and user interface. I feel as thought the look of the program is a bit antiquated and could be improved.
TMWSuite helps us maximize the scheduling and efficiency of our fleet of tractors. It is nice to have a software that is fully integrated across multiple departments so we have an all-in-one central location for transparency.
This is a useful tool to see what loads need to be booked for each day. Helps keep tracking loads organized so anyone can see the load and know the status of the shipment.
The design is very outdated. It could use some updating to help make it look better, as the design can be overwhelming with the amount of information there is to look at. The page doesn't automatically refresh, so it can be frustrating working on a load that has already been booked because I need to make sure I am constantly refreshing the page.
TMW.Suite is a good option if you are looking for a product to help manage the freight that needs to be moved each day. There is a learning curve to it, but once you get the hang of it, it is easier to use.
Booking freight, tracking loads. I have the benefit of being able to see who is working on what loads and what has already been booked that day.
I think that the assignment history function serves me best. It allows me to reference all of a drivers applicable information by simply typing their name in. In addition, despite the inefficiencies listed below, the planning worksheet is very helpful when it comes to time sensitive shipments.
Overall, the software has some minor inefficiencies when it comes to entering delay notices, printing trip summaries, etc. In my opinion, printing trip summaries for our drivers would be much more efficient if we could split the planning worksheet into sections based on the entered data. A “print all” button would also be useful
TMW is great for keeping real time data (if coupled with PeopleNet), which has allowed us to monitor driver locations and provide said locations to our client (BMW).
The TMW.Suite products provide a fairly current, .NET, look and feel. Microsoft stack means it's familiar to users and administrators. Easy to train users. Layouts can be customized to restrict access to pages and fields. Existing interface with Microsoft Dynamics GP for accounting makes implementation less time consuming since a custom AR/AP/GL interface does not need to be developed.
Support can be slow to respond and completely fails to meet their SLA at times. Some applications seem slow.
Seems that there are some core features of the product that could be improved or added rather than focusing so much attention on emerging technologies.
Implementation can be tedious (considering the simplicity of the product) due to their methodology and lack of motivation. It is completely up to the customer to drive the implementation and keep TMW progressing. Have a good project plan stick to it.
TMW has allowed us to interface with other applications and systems to eliminate man-hours performing repetitve and mundane tasks. We can track loads via applications that ping driver cell phones, customers can tender orders via EDI or web portals, we can send loads to freight boards directly from the UI rather than retyping.

I like that I’m able to use it for several different subgroups, like operations and accounting. It is one way to keep all the information consistent.
It’s almost just too much information, we are still learning about how to use the reports so we can decipher the information we want.
The billing tab on the customer service doesn’t give you an accurate profit margin.
