A very easy to install and maintain software with great virtualization and cloud-based database management approach provides a lean and agile feature to it.

Technical support is also great.

Data models are really great which come really useful sometimes.

I would state the software is a bit on the difficult side for beginners. Things some times mess up and slow the overall process. Also, I would like to have some customizable features to it and some cross software compatibility. User assignment needed to be improved as these are

I would suggest keeping the software very easy to use, improving the training module and keeping things simple will help TIBCO to gain to customers in this particular domain which is highly competitive.

I would also suggest improving the role management as this is one of the few features that are highly rated in the corporate world.

Cross environmental features need to be improved.

We used for NLP(Natural Language Processing) to understand the mental condition (Anxiety & Depression etc. ) of users on various social media platforms.

MDM helps us to clean data and use it more accurately. We are able to present our research in a more productive and accurate way to our stack holders in our organization.

The Spotfire visualization tool is great for data analytics.

Set up for R coding in Spotfire is not as intuitive as it could be.

I use it for data visualization and can spot trends and anomalies in data.

Spotfire recommends visualizations for you to present data in a clear and simple way.

The actual input of data through non copy and paste formats is challenging and difficult to use.

Amazing for understanding data and reaching conclusions on statistical data. Creating graphs is visually better than excel and the software is much easier to use and grasp.

Manufacturing requires fast data analysis to detect problems and issues with products. We are using spotfire to present solutions and verify statistical information after changes.

TIBCO MDM provides a consolidated source of key master data on customers, products, and relationships between master data entities. It has a very easy GUI

Backend Customisation of web pages and forms

Lack of a Universal Test Interface. The testing Framework is too complicated and needs separate effort to implement.

The visualizations available to display data are great.

Slow data refresh and limited coding capability. Mainly SQL is used but only in parts. The R-capability has been difficult to learn.

Similar to tableau with different functionality. Worth comparing both to see which you prefer.

Data science on clinical trials. Easy to point out issues/ trends in the data with visualizations for easy cleaning.

Easy Integration with TIBCO ESB and possibly any other message oriented middleware.

1) User-Role permissions (resource security) is a nightmare to manage. When you create a new role and assign a user, the user will have access to everything (has "most privileges"). This is contradicts the standard Identity and Access Management (IAM) principle where a new user is supposed to have "least privileges".

2) No RESTful web services..

3) Cross-environment deployments are really hard. Not everything can be automated.

Stick to the out-of-the-box features. Keep your MDM simple.

customization is limited when I worked on it a few years back.

Client had data all across the system and wanted to have one true version of data. TIBCO CIM was chosen as product to have the master data at one place. This is to have cleaner version of data with no duplicates and one true copy of data.
