Reporting we're placing, plus more Spotter Is a Huge Time Saver for Charts, Tiles, and API Integrations
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?
I think the Spotter tool is really cool at interpreting prompts and producing answers/liveboard tiles that match well with what I wanted. Huge time saver when making charts and tables. I also use the SpotterCode MCP regularly to understand and make API calls as we build out our integration - its awesome!
What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?
Not much! At first I found it a little difficult to generate charts & tiles manually, but it was just a different paradigm than I'm used to. I know we had one recent workaround when it comes to displaying a duration column, but with formulas we were able to make things work.
What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoughtspot has been able to provide the same level of reporting functionality so far as our home-built

Intuitive Natural Language Analytics That Speeds Insights and Integrates Smoothly with Snowflake
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?
What I like best about ThoughtSpot is how intuitive it makes data exploration. The natural language search allows both technical and non-technical users to quickly get insights without needing to write complex queries. It really shortens the time from question to answer, which is valuable in fast-paced environments. This is especially important to my organization, as we need quick, on the spot insights to help us drive strategy. Overall, the integration with Snowflake was straightforward and allowed us to streamline our backend data. Additionally, the continuous improvement efforts of ThoughtSpot to evolve the platform are top of the line - they have an extensive runway of enhancements to better shape the product and respond to customer needs.
What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?
One area for improvement in ThoughtSpot is its formatting and reporting flexibility. While the platform is very strong for ad hoc analysis and search-driven insights, it can feel somewhat limited when trying to create highly customized, presentation-ready reports compared to more traditional BI tools. Additionally, in being cloud based, it can be challenging to bring in data (e.g., text files, etc.) outside of cloud based tools. In our organization, we often receive data from vendors that are flat files and having the abiliyt to easily bring those in would be an added benefit.
What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?
ThoughtSpot helps solve the challenge of quickly accessing and analyzing HEDIS performance data. It allows us to dig deeper into the data and uncover insights in a much faster, more seamless way. It also provides a self-service capability for end users, which reduces ad hoc requests and frees up analysts’ time. Without it, analysts would spend hours manually querying and analyzing datasets, slowing down decision-making. With ThoughtSpot, we’re able to get to actionable insights much more efficiently.

Spotter and Spotter IQ Deliver Powerful AI Insights
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?
AI / Intelligence with Spotter and Spotter IQ
What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?
Liveboards/Answers aren’t as customizable as other BI tools. I’d really like to see more flexibility in creating visualizations in the future, especially when it comes to tailoring them to specific needs.
What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Thoughtspot is solving for us is enabling self-service analytics through its Spotter capability. It helps our users run their own ad hoc analyses and ask questions on their own, which is especially valuable for people who aren’t very technically savvy.

Thoughtspot saves me a lot of time in obtaining data for analysis Most useful for data extraction and performance analysis.
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?
Thoughtspot has given me an edge in obtaining relevant data sets to get clear and up to date view of the market segments compared to othe sources we use.
What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?
It's almost perfect. But it does take some time to load in the browser. If there is a stand alone application that eases the accessibility of data, would be an added enhancement. Inability to get weekly comparison data because of storage limitation.
What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives me a single source for data which in other sources are spread across different platforms or sections.

Fast, User-Friendly Insights for Fraud Detection with ThoughtSpot
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?
As a fraud analyst, what I like most about ThoughtSpot is how quickly it lets me explore large datasets, spot unusual patterns, and turn what I find into actionable insights in real time. I can do all of this without needing deep technical skills, which helps me respond to suspicious activity faster and more effectively.
What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?
For a fraud analyst, the main downside of ThoughtSpot is that, although it’s great for getting quick insights, it can still require fairly complex data preparation. It may also become costly at scale, and it isn’t the best fit for very advanced predictive fraud modeling.
What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?
ThoughtSpot addresses the challenge of slow, complex data analysis by enabling instant, self-service insights from large datasets. This helps me spot fraud patterns more quickly and make better-informed decisions in real time.

Empowers Self-Service Analytics with Speed
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?
I love how ThoughtSpot is quick and enables us to democratize data, allowing more people to access it. It's fun to build with, and it offers many unique features. I appreciate the specific visuals we can create, such as heat maps and bar and line charts, which serve multiple purposes for our users. I find it very intuitive to use ThoughtSpot, making it easy to create quick answers with filters. I've learned to perform tasks rapidly and provide a lot of value with engaging visuals instead of just showing quick tables. People respond well to these visuals, which has been really helpful. Additionally, I enjoy ThoughtSpot for its ability to handle a vast amount of data and manipulate it, impressing everyone I have shown it to with how fast they can create reports and customize data.
What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?
Sometimes, it does take a little bit of time to index the data when a new data model is created, and that is a little frustrating. So being able to get that indexing time down would be great.
What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?
ThoughtSpot enables quick report creation and self-service data access, reducing back-and-forth on requirements. It democratizes data, allowing quick customizations, and users love the visuals and tabular download options. It's intuitive and lets us manage vast data effortlessly, impressing everyone with its speed and capability.

Revolutionized Insights with Conversational AI
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?
I really like the Conversational AI, Agentic features, and the Spotter functionality of ThoughtSpot. They provide additional insights and explanations, making the platform thorough, easy to access, and ubiquitous. The value comes in speed, clarity, and broader access to insights, as it reduces the friction between a business question and a usable answer. I appreciate how users can ask questions naturally, iterate quickly, and transition from data to action with less effort. I find Spotter particularly valuable as it goes beyond just information retrieval by explaining data, providing additional context, and guiding users to insights they might not think of on their own. ThoughtSpot becomes more than a reporting tool; it is a decision-support capability helping users interpret results, explore implications, and act confidently.
What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?
There is clear value in ThoughtSpot, but the opportunity is in making advanced capabilities more consistently intuitive and dependable for everyday business users. At times, the experience can still require too much user interpretation, especially when moving from a question to a fully trusted, decision ready insight. Areas for improvement include making outputs more consistently context-aware, improving the precision and relevance of generated insights, and simplifying the experience so users can navigate advanced capabilities without needing significant enablement. In short, the platform is strongest when it reduces complexity. The more seamless, explainable and business-friendly the experience becomes, the more broadly and confidently it will be adopted.
What problems is ThoughtSpot solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use ThoughtSpot for quick, insightful data exploration through conversational AI and Spotter, which facilitates natural questions and provides thorough insights, reducing reliance on static dashboards and technical teams.
