Is used as a companion tool for our classes. By complementing the in-class delivery with self-paced and online resources, students have better exposure to understand the subjects presented and review the learning on an ongoing basis.

TestOut and their suite of courses they offer have something that can satiate anyones appetite for knowledge. I have used testout in my college courses, and not continue to earn certs now that I am a professional.

Testout can definitely benefit from adding estimated time for completions and also maybe a course guide. You can be overwhelmed with the number of options they have to offer.

It allows a very affordable and easy to use course system that allow me to further my career in well presented and well organized courses. Compared to other certifications, you get the most bang for your buck without a doubt.

The upside of using TestOut and their products are that the support system is prompt. They listen and provide an convenient learning system that we as instructors are able to utilize online or in the classroom. Our students are able to gain the most up to date skills needed to succeed in their the chosen field.

On top of that, instructors are encouraged to enhance their own skills and increase their own knowledge base using the products that TestOut provides. TestOut offers a large variety of classes to choose from. I have been using TestOut in excess of 10 years and have always been successful without any major issues. What issues I have had were the direct result of user error. I certainly recommend TestOut.

I have not found any downs sides with TestOut.

TestOut solves the problem of providing labs, lectures, videos and test in an online environment along with providing a skill based environment that students can practice on until they have a thorough understanding.

The instructional material is well-organized and concise. It allows the learner to move through at their own pace.

Some of the tools in mouse-driven assignments seemed to operate awkwardly. It may have been a result of using my touchpad instead of an external mouse.

Try it, you'll like it.

We are using TestOut Desktop Pro Plus with Office 2016 in place of a textbook and online access to other vendors' simulations.

I love how things are broken down into chapters, and how each chapter is broken down into objectives. It is easy to follow and the lab simulations are great!

There is not much that I dislike about TestOut. I wish there were more courses than what is currently offered.

Give it a try as I believe it is well worth the money, especially if you're trying to kick start your IT career. You will learn so much and be allowed to practice tasks which happen in the real world.

I am solving technical desktop issues for internal colleagues. The benefit of using this software is that it allows me to stay up to date with new technologies.

Occassional false negative, when a question or lab was correct but marked as wrong. These were rare instances (less than 1% ) for the course, and once identified, quickly fixed.

Testout provides a venue for testing, training, and certification.

I went into the 20-21 school year teaching a class that I have never taught before. I also had to find a curriculum to go with the course. I looked at multiple courses but chose TestOut IT Fundamentals Pro and I am so glad I did. The foundation for the course is already done, pacing is complete and section quizzes. TestOut allows me to focus more on assessment data and planning vs figuring out what to teach. It has been a great curriculum, especially for a new teacher that was nervous about teaching a new course.

I dislike the fact that you cannot "lock" sections until you are ready to use them. If my students wanted to they could technically go backward and redo tests that would change their grade in TestOut, they could also work forward if they wanted to. It would be really beneficial if TestOut would create a way for teachers to "lock" sections after completion or until we're ready to use the.

The simulations work well and seem to be beneficial. The students enjoy the labs and find them very beneficial. We've even brought in some actual hardware and the students are excited to see it because they recognize it from the simulations.

As an instructor, I like working the simulations with my students to prepare for various industry certifications. Not only that, I can obtain professional development.

There is nothing to dislike about TestOut.

My classes are learning about various security strategies to solving problems.

The customer service is emaculant. Anytime I have needed anything, they have answered my questions within 12 hours.

While the price point is low, I must buy more than needed and end up wasting some.

I use TestOut when we were virtual because of their compatibility with Chromebooks. I realized that their programs covered everything I do but add the added ability of grading.

Comprehensive and thorough lessons for all parts of Microsoft Suite. Students who do lessons properly and as assigned are likely to pass the certification test.

TestOut needs to develop practice tests for Microsoft Access software. Practice tests are important information for high school students trying to certify in this software.

TestOut helped so much with Learning @ Home emergency teaching. Depending on how things go for the 2020-21 school year, they are probably going to get put to good use again. Students were frustrated at first going from a PC at school with a big screen and a mouse to switching to a Chromebook with a mouse pad for Excel and Access softwares. If they stuck with it, many were successful.
