What do you like best about Talend MDM?
Talend MDM is a best in breed MDM tool for any modern organization. Talend has taken a different approach to MDM than other vendors because Talend MDM is first and foremost and ETL tool which shares most of the same features of Talend Integration Suite, Talend Big Data Edition, Talend ESB, and others
What do you dislike about Talend MDM?
Recommendations to others considering Talend MDM?
The MDM features shine where users can create custom data remediation and approval workflows where the application can send data records to data stewards to be addressed. And the entire pipeline can be conditional based on whatever criteria or formula we would like to use to evaluate the completeness or accuracy of a data record
What problems is Talend MDM solving and how is that benefiting you?
Talend desktop is built the Eclipse IDE, which is showing its age. Also, integration between Talend Server and remote Git servers could be improved. Overall I wouldn't ding the platform for these -- they are just minor gripes

sometimes slow. Stops responding, but it occurs rarely.

Makes migrations easy
What do you like best about Talend MDM?
Easy drag and drop interface for moving data between hundreds of different tools. Can be extended with simple java
What do you dislike about Talend MDM?
The code it generates is kind of a mess. Some things are too complex for it's limitations. Moving data is fine. Complex logic is not.
Recommendations to others considering Talend MDM?
Don't try to force it to do things its not built to do.
What problems is Talend MDM solving and how is that benefiting you?
Moving data during a migration or simple jobs that run on a schedule.

Great software for data integration
What do you like best about Talend MDM?
How easy it is to use, the fact that it generates java code and the ability to built portable web services.
What do you dislike about Talend MDM?
That it can be too heavy for the computer processor; it takes too much resources.
What problems is Talend MDM solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm consolidating data from multiples sources to be used in a report. The benefits that I have noticed is that it saves a lot of time since this had to be manually done by copying and pasting data on an excel file.
