SUSE Real Time helps us ensure that critical tasks are completed within a specified time limit, whereas a standard Linux kernel is designed to complete tasks based on average performance.

What do you dislike about SUSE Linux Enterprise Real Time?

As far as we don't find any major flows in this operating system, only we concerns about the licensing fees, it seems bit high.

it's helping us by serving our mission critical client's bank transaction application, it helps us to achieve our goals in the specified time period without any delays.

SLES: Powerful, Reliable OS for ETL and Production Workloads

What do you like best about SUSE Linux Enterprise Real Time?

SLES is our best OS in the hub for Hutch and vodafone project with Greenplum DB. Both ETL and prod and hosted in SLES and feels immense power of OS.

What do you dislike about SUSE Linux Enterprise Real Time?

No much dislikes but zypper have to be increased with less dependencies on third party software's .

What problems is SUSE Linux Enterprise Real Time solving and how is that benefiting you?

SLES have increased our revenue with no cost system admin jobs like regular helth checks. SLES made the system steady in onprem and cloud.

It helped resolve latency issues, synchronization problems, and priority inversion issues, preventing a lower-priority process from blocking the execution of a higher-priority process.

Although all flavors of Linux are perfect for enterprise grade DB hosting, SUSE comes on top in terms of flexibility and ease of management. Especially if you are running SAP

The initial setup can be a bit too complicated for first timers. SUSE is relatively less seen compared to lets say RedHat or even Ubuntu Servers. Hence the administrators might not be fully comfortable with having SUSE

Our SAP HANA box is fully based on SUSE Real time. We recommend all our customers the same. We are a Private Cloud hosting company so we know how good SUSE Real time OS is for time critical services.

Suse linux is best so far in terms of using it for day to day work. Commands are quite easy and its very user friendly. Beat part of Suse Linux is its security part. And creating cluster in suse linux is just an amazing thing

There is nothing which i dislike. Sometimes it is hard to hold support when you are on long calls with customer and they want them to be on the call. But otherwise support is good and knowledgeable

To be very honest the cost if it was compared from redhat linux and oracle linux is quite cheaper plus it gives better security then other two OS.
