What do you like best about SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop?

We are using SUSE Linux Flavor for our SAP systems which need high scalability and HA system support for load balancing. I think it is best for it's support, Load Balancing and integration of other apps.

What do you dislike about SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop?

Nothing in particular, I personally think there can be a room for cost reduction and they may need to work with their release cycle.

What problems is SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop solving and how is that benefiting you?

Load Balancing, Security and Scalability are the three major reasons we are using SUSE as a OS. As SAP systems need proper Load Balancing facilities for HA systems and high Scalability for good performance.

suse Linux for desktop is wide use in corporate world.it provide flavour of both Linux cli and gui and help user to perform both types of task.

What do you dislike about SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop?

Mainly we use Linux os for any security related task in organizations. hence other Linux os flavour will work better then suse Linux.

What problems is SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's easily solve system administrator problem.they can use suse Linux to get flyover of Linux as well as gui features. as it's license cost is less compared to other.

Not having to spend time waiting for updates to download and install, not having to wait for updates to install on shutdown

What do you dislike about SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop?

Some nvidia hardware support can be troublesome, stick with intel or AMD.

What problems is SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop solving and how is that benefiting you?

No real problems. Safer web surfing, evolution email integration, documentation with libreoffice, great cross distribution integration.

Not very good Turkish language and other local language support.

100% compatible with Fedora and other distributions to measure manageability and installed programs before migrating data.

Alternate systems to add extra functions to the OS are sometimes high, this somewhat limits access to 100% of the system.

What problems is SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mainly having a VPN tunnel connected to the server to measure data transfer and avoid information theft, we work hard in a technological institution where information is very important, stability and well-managed system resources.
