Since it is completely ONLINE, so we don't need to install it on any Server to provide access to the users. It can be accessible from anywhere. It maintains inventory in an efficient way.

The Online software is not a full-fledged Inventory and Assets Management software, like as the On-Premise similar other software do. It should also have Inventory Audits options to offer many valuable enhancements, as needed by the Businesses.

We had scattered IT inventories at multiple locations, that needed to be automated and accessible. Spiceworks Online resolved our major issues with Inventory management.

The fact this has been around for over 10yrs and keeps evolving with each version, has both on prem and cloud based now too is awesome.

This has now also been replaced with their internet based 'inventory' and network mapping tools, which integrate also with the Cloud Helpdesk too, great innovations!

Newer cloud based one needs a little more tweaking but it is new and work in progress.

Integrate it with their Helpdesk or Cloud Helpdesk tools so you can link them together and create tickets from the console without having to open it separately at the same time, or just use it to update the tickets later on. The implementation of the product is simple, easy to use and with zero cost, you don't have to worry about getting any complaints from management. The only time you have to pay is if you want to have the banner ads removed, otherwise it works well.

Mapping out the entire WAN.

You are able to handle employee questions based on a ticket system who you can assign who it pertains to and assist the employee better

I currently wouldn't have any dislikes as I am a new user for Spiceworks, but maybe the portal can be improved of who the tickets are assigned to.

I currently have not encountered any problems

to get latest update of user pc information user pc need to connect with internet either that will show old infomation if not connected internet

I like the dynamic display options for the network map. I like that you can customize icons used in the map, as well as the ability to easily re-arrange the items on the map, so that they are organized the way you want, while maintaining mappings and relationships.

I wish we could be a bit more flexible with the map display. I would like to be able to color-code network subnets. Being able to pull diagnostic or performance metrics from the network map would be helpful. -I envision the network map showing me where there are bottlenecks in the network flow, or protocol tracing and diagnostics.

I recommend being smart about when network scans take place. When I came on board, there were a lot of issues, because the previous team thought running the scans after-hours was all the consideration they needed. This disrupted the many backup operations taking place at the same time. After splitting up the network scans and workstation backups, we stopped having those issues.

I have been able to catch misconfigurations in the network infrastructure that lead to improper routing. The network mapping also allows me to see other connections being made by nodes, so that we can identify connections that should not be open.

We are able to create network diagrams by using this application. We are also using various available filters. It's also possible for us to check the usage of bandwidth between any two nodes of our created network diagram. We are also using this tool for monitoring / scanning of network devices.

Sometimes, devices are not clearly visible on created network map.

It's great tool for us to create and manage our network map.

The system details on the scans are impressive and I like how it checks warranty information. Makes asset tracking and replacement a breeze.

The scanning process takes forever... but at least it is pretty thorough.

I am able to see everything on my network and have been able to identify rogue devices that shouldn’t be on the network.
