I have solved the liquid flow problem in fluid mechanics. We have also used Flow Simulation to get the effectiveness of aerodynamic parts for a race vehicle.
It is an application created to work the intuitive simulation of the dynamics of the computational fluid which allows the advantages of the CAD environment, the capabilities of the meshes gemetrica and the automatic determination of the flow regime without sacrificing the ease of use, efficiency and effectiveness of the software , it is important to note that it gives the ability to predict the behavior of flow fields and heat transfer processes, determining the pressure drops, temperature, comfort parameters and other interactions that the fluid may have with external agents , really comes close to reality before building the equipment.
Among the main disadvantages that can be observed which makes me disgust sometimes is that there is not much control of the meshes, this is because the elements are tetraetric, what can be controlled really is something of size and refined, if the mesh is not well refined the result may not be well interpreted causing confusion in the interpretation of the results.
The static module does not have the option to deliver gradual loading, although this option is in the non-linear modules.
That use the tool since it is excellent for the design and simulation of mechanical systems, achieving in this way to realize innovations and improvements in the development of the prototype.

This has to be one of the most Innovative software packages I have ever used. If you need to demonstrate liquid flow in any type of online example you need to use the software. I needed something to simulate chemical flow and I would have never guest it would be so easy.
The interface is a little overwhelming but once you get used to it it's fine.

We realized we could do chemical simulation without having to pay thousands of dollars.
This software provides accurate and precise flow of gas and liquid. Using this we can compute the forces, pressure and stresses exerted on the body by the flow. Its user interface is simple and easy to use. The best part is the flow around the 3-D model is just like the real motion.
The price is a bit high. It should be a little bit cheaper inorder to acquire more users. Also sometimes results are unrealistic and contains error. Also simulation takes long time to complete.
This software is really easy to use and really helpful.
I am using this software to develop safe buildings, due to known motions of fluids I can position my structure in a way that the force and pressure exerted on the structure is minimised.
I cant say enough about how much this product has helped our company and every other company I have worked for. SolidWorks is the top of the line and without it we couldnt get any of our highly important projects done.
If there has to be one thing I dislike about this product it would be the price

This is integrated with the solidworks CAD software. This feature allows me to do flow simulations for my race car aero dynamics and wing design. The results are very accurate and it almost matches the level of ansys.
The mesh control features needs to be better. Also, its difficult to define dynamic and functional boundary conditions.
I used to model aerofoil wings in solidworks and analyse in Ansys. Now I am able to do the whole process and optimise the design within solidworks ecosystem.
