What do you like best about Slate by Technolutions?
Helpful with guiding students through the application process for our institution and pairing with 3rd party ETL applications to integrate with various institutional systems.
What do you dislike about Slate by Technolutions?
Not many things I dislike. We pair with a separate marketing tool to use more dynamic flow and content as well as connect with ad partners.
What problems is Slate by Technolutions solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing a seamless way for both applicants (prospective students) and staff (admission and operations) to work through the admission funnel.

Great product
What do you like best about Slate by Technolutions?
It is the easiest application management tool I've ever used in my 12 years working in college admissions.
What do you dislike about Slate by Technolutions?
It is complicated to implement from a tech perspective and so you have to have a person on staff who can do that or hire someone.
What problems is Slate by Technolutions solving and how is that benefiting you?
They create a beautiful user experience for students applying to our university. It's also easy to use for employees.

Slate is an amazing CRM for Admission!
What do you like best about Slate by Technolutions?
Everything is better with Slate! When we switched CRM's we were able to improve our features drastically. The ease of use and functionality far outrank other CRM's we've used.
What do you dislike about Slate by Technolutions?
The support from the Technoulations staff can sometimes take longer to respond or encourage other schools to help you out.
What problems is Slate by Technolutions solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are solving system flaws of other systems. The benefit is the array of features that Slate has with no additional cost. We are able to do so much. Even accross campus.

What do you like best about Slate by Technolutions?
Once you get queries under your belt, your ability to territory manager will sky rocket. I kept track of my students daily with my queries that I ran in the morning.
What do you dislike about Slate by Technolutions?
Has a bit of a learning curve. I never did master reports.
What problems is Slate by Technolutions solving and how is that benefiting you?
I feel bad for those using salesforce. Organizing data and creating comm contact points are so easy with slate. Having a great CRM gives me the ability to continue contact with a student, or read between the lines. I appreciate that.

A Malleable, Multi-Purpose CRM Geared Toward Higher Ed Institutions
What do you like best about Slate by Technolutions?
Slate somehow pulls off the one-size-fits-all approach for higher ed CRM needs. Especially for those in admission work, this platform can fill a wide variety of functions, including outreach, metrics, event management, and more. It has made connecting with prospective students far easier, and also helps us stay organized across different departments. We've begun expanding to use within our current student population as well, which opens up many new avenues for implementation. There is also a wide array of other users, so if you have a question, it's likely been answered in a forum already.
What do you dislike about Slate by Technolutions?
As with any new platform, there is a slight learning curve when starting on. Implementation can also pose challenges, but it's mainly because folks in admission work are used to having to abide by the rules of the platform that they are using. Slate lets you write your own rules, which can be freeing, but also challenging in its own right.
What problems is Slate by Technolutions solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our institution is using slate as a CRM for outreach to prospective students and family members. We're expanding this to use for engagement with current students at our institution, as well. Benefits realized included bringing our outreach and recruitment into the 20th century with new features like metrics for engagement with email contact.

What do you like best about Slate by Technolutions?
Slate has the ability to merge and consolidate records. The upload process is super easy. The batch acquire function allows the materials to be put right into the record.
What do you dislike about Slate by Technolutions?
All the information I need can be put on the dashboard so I don't need to view multiple screens.
Recommendations to others considering Slate by Technolutions?
The field names are not intutive. I am new to the product but as a new user it is complex to me. Building the queries is a challenge wish their was a tutorial to explain process and terminology.
What problems is Slate by Technolutions solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are a lot of great features. Be sure to ask about ALL the special features so that your company can benefit.

Slate is the Gold Standard of Admissions CRMs
What do you like best about Slate by Technolutions?
Slate is by far the best admissions product I've ever used. It's incredibly intuitive and user-friendly.
What do you dislike about Slate by Technolutions?
I'm not a huge fan of the service desk ticket process. While they are always quick and always help resolve my issues, I'm much more of a get on the phone and talk to someone person. This is definitely not a bad way of addressing issues; it's just not my preferred learning method and communicating.
Recommendations to others considering Slate by Technolutions?
No matter your budget, Slate is worth every single penny. I've worked in multiple CRM's, and I could never go back to the inferiority of other products or their support staff.
What problems is Slate by Technolutions solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Slate, we've streamlined our applications, developed a robust communication flow, and given independence to our admissions counselors.

Allows Enrollment to independently run their own processes with great system integrations
What do you like best about Slate by Technolutions?
System integrations, ease of use and management for Enrollment users instead of IT or Software development, phenomenal support and software improvement.
What do you dislike about Slate by Technolutions?
There are a few gaps between how a process "feels like it should work" versus "how Slate expects it to work", but these are generally logical and have more to do with learning how Slate works and unlearning old systems. Could have some better reporting options.
Recommendations to others considering Slate by Technolutions?
Baseline it does everything we've needed and somethings that we thought were out of our reach. Working with the tool makes sense in a way our previous system did not. The training is exceptionally valuable, as is the knowledge base and "Slate Scholars" systems. The helpdesk is also fantastic.
What problems is Slate by Technolutions solving and how is that benefiting you?
Greatly reduced the need for IT support of the Enrollment systems while greatly increasing Enrollment's control and agility to respond to changes. Fantastic automation and integration with SIS system and other uses.
