The school messenger app is great in all aspects in terms of being connected and giving great ways to work with. First time using it to stay connected with my child being in school in this era, this is great to have.

I am not too sure what kind of problems, I haven't experience a problem yet using this app on my phone.

It is very user friendly and easily manageable.

We have had some issues with the social media links but we have managed to work around that.

It is a nice product. The setup was easy. Support is great.

It has made it a lot easier to notify parents of what is going on. We are hoping to get Secure Document Delivery going this year and that will help to save us a lot of money on postage.

Easy access to instant broadcast alerts . the ability to use via internet site, mobile app gives you great flexibility in times of emergency. The advanced reporting also allows you to see if messages go through to all your contacts and shows you the issues if they have not. like bad numbers or emails

There has not been much to dislike as the program keep growing and advancing as the overall industry and needs change in regards to communication as a whole. There has not been to much advancement in the base product in a long time. There is starting to be more txt ability which is good

emergency notifications to staff and students, automated notifications based on attendance, notifications on fees, classroom messaging based on grade level, campus, teacher.

We use School Messenger daily to communicate with our students and parents. We send out messages to the whole school, individuals, and specific groups of students.

The interface is not very user-friendly at first. However, over the years, they have worked on updating the system. It looks better, but to a new user, it is a bit difficult to maneuver. However, the good news is that customer service is always available to assist.

This is our number one communication system at my school. Parents know they will receive an update on their child's attendance before the day is over - whether their child is absent, present, tardy, on a field trip, excused, etc.

All important information pertaining to my school district is loaded into one place. This allows teachers and staff to receive news first before the public.

I haven't had any trouble with SchoolMessenger as of yet.

One of the best features of School Messenger is ease of use. Very intuitive, and easy to send messages effectively. Includes detailed reports and account of all messaging attempts. Also, very easy to simultaneously send messages in a second language and send push notifications to websites and social media. Another strong benefit of School Messenger is the robustness of the App. I can schedule and send messages and have access to the full features through my phone when I am away from the office.

There are many steps included to sending a messaging. When communicating during a crisis, time is a critical factor. I wish there were a way to streamline the messaging during a crisis. Like an option to send a "quick message to all..." feature

School Messenger has solved all of our Notification and communication ease.

I most like the ease with how SchoolMessenger communicates with PowerSchool, keeping our parent communication data (email, phone) updated automatically.

I don't really like how the SDD works for two reasons. It's great to be able to send merged documents this way, but I wish I could create templates myself rather than wait for someone in support to do so on my behalf. I also don't like that I can't see a preview of the merged document emails as our parents will see them prior to sending. It makes me nervous every time I send something that I don't have 100% assurance of how the emails will appear to the recipient.

We have individual access codes that need to be sent to each parent for a variety of products. Being able to send merged documents with this information has become a huge timesaver.

School Messenger is very easy to use, with a minimal training time. It's a great way to send mass emails, texts, or phone messages, and there is good support from their customer service team.

There is nothing to say that we particularly dislike, but some training items will take a bit longer to work through, like manually loading a user vs. PowerSchool rolling them over. The only other item to note about School Messenger vs. other communication platforms is that texts are limited to 160 characters whereas others like Alert Solutions will allow you to go over that and have multiple texts send out the full message.

School Messenger really is a great tool - there are others out there, but if your integration with PowerSchool is working correctly, School Messenger is incredibly easy to use!
