Having a product to ease manufacturing challenges is good but at the same time we need it to be more efficient to handle multiple project formats which are dealt with new manufactures always.

We have the setup of establishing part of manufacutring in the unites. SAP Manufacturing Execution helps to analyse and decide and monitor the issues and budget that comes up during the build and design of the parts.

Maintaining inventory tracking

Ability to easily manage customer purchase orders and ability to manage production from demand planning and forecast planning (through the APO extension) to master production scheduling to capacity planning and MRP / line of balance. Ability to manipulate master data and extract reports.

The tool is quite difficult to use and not easy to be customised. I don't like the fact that sometimes to extract a report it takes a lot of time. The APO extension can be improved as it is quite difficult to use too.

when implementing SAP is key to agree the structure with all the stakeholders before rolling it out and make sure all people are following the standard works in order to maintain the process stable and reliable. It is definitely the best ERP tool and I suggest to implement to make sure all the production process is more under control

We have started using SAP in 2013 and after that we are experiencing as a company an higher demand stability, an improved capacity planning a production planning. It is very beneficial to have all the information related to customers, products, etc. in one database and have the ability to pull the datasets needed at any time. Great ERP tool to use in a manufacturing environment.

SAP ME Is awersome! I have done some development work and with ME developers can quickly setup non conformance hierarchies , enable disposition routings for discrete and repetitive manufacturing . Custom text Fields’s, out of box analytics SAP integrations are just some of the gems of this beast!

Transmitting master data is a breeze! No manual entry when moving from different environments (Dev/Prod)

Allows customisation as well as various report developments such as crystal reporting etc which allows for improved data analytics. However, this does come at a price.

It's a costly software and customisations are also expensive unless you have an in-house SAP guru who can support. Would be worth investing in a SAP Basis administrator.

Once set up, you get full clarity on all areas and the reports generated support better decision making capabilities and hence improves productivity as you're not needing to generate the reports manually.

After learning how to use it, I found it incredibly valuable for running various reports and gathering info from an extensive database.

It was a long onboarding process to really understand how to use the tool effectively.
