xECM is a SAP and OT integrated module. I like the way how any unstructured content can be managed throughout its lifecycle using this solution. The content can be associated with SAP Transactions. It provides a a a 360-degree data view.

A non-SAP can see the same document and its associated metadata in ECM, which helps end-users to identify the data quickly.

.Transferring the file and sharing important documents is very easy and user needs minimal or no training for start using it

I have been using other CMS in past, however the easiness it comes with this tool is unmatched

SAP is convenient for having different apps going at once

The sign in process is sometimes difficult. You have to refresh the system in order to sign in again

You are able to see multiple apps in one window.

It stores a lot of information. The possibilities are endless.

It doesn't communicate well with other software. You cannot export data to an easily usable form (ex: Excel spreadsheet). The codes are not intuitive, so you have to memorize them. Many of them have descriptions that are so unclear, I have no idea what info I'm going to find. Also, every little piece of info you want to obtain about a particular item in our inventory, you have to back out and put in another code because each code is so specific.

It logs us out after so short a time. If I leave the software alone to do something else, it logs me out after just 15 minutes, even though the info we are storing is not sensitive.
