A better way to understand who our customers are, what their business involved in, the nature of hidden risks/threats, understand the relationship between individuals and entities and also this directly highlights cases that require further scrutiny/investigation/escalation

To my understanding, I couldn't see any cons for now. But it would be good if we try utilizing AI more in getting things more straightforward.

We are using it primarily for screening and making sure that the hits obtained are 100% matches to what we search for

I like the fact that Refinitiv World-Check screens for all the available sanctions bodies globally. It's easy to search by person or organization (or vessel). You can add country or sort by type of record or sort by match strength (strong, medium, weak).

I don't like the fact that there is no one I can call for help like Westlaw. You have to go through their portal, ask a question, and wait for a reply. Customer Support is global, so not always in your time zone.

Make sure you go under Help Menu and print the documentation, so you know the names of the screening bodies and what the treatment codes mean.

I take a person or business and screen them to see if they are sanctioned by a body included in World-Check. Sometimes, I take the company's annual report and look up the names of the directors and run them through World-Check too in addition to the company. That way the client knows if they can do business with them (not sanctioned).

Worldcheck gives us all possible results for the name search with negative news, sanctions imposed and whether if the name searched had/has any historical/current political positions along with countries of exposure for that name which is very much necessary for customer due diligence by which we can meet regulatory obligations and take necessary decisions

If we have searched by the name on the tool, then the tool should let us to filter out results only for the name field, however, we get the name searched in different other fields like country field.

Also, sometimes we get irrelevant results like when we run the search for an individual, we face instances where get results for entities wherein there would be no connection between the individuals name searched and the resulted entity

World check helps me in successfully completing customer due diligence or anti-money laundering as

I like the world check risk database most. It is very updated with all the regulatory information and gives us the updated results while conducting sanctions screening on the existing clients and new business clients

User interface is bit outdated. They should try to make it more interesting

The platform provides up-to-date information which are an essential part of the company internal controls including but not limited to adverse media coverage and court cases.

Some of the suggested matches are way off in terms of name matching. Also, those with common names give too many false alerts due to the vague name matching.

There used to be a problem with deleting incorrectly inputted records, now it has been resolved with the editing and deleting functions.

User interface can get some investment. It's design hasn't been updated in years when it comes to friendliness.

The best feature it is simple to search using just the name.

The similar names are sometimes difficult as there is not much information regardin unique identifiers.

It's easy to use and really helpful in everyday useage, does really well for dillegence work.

Through a simple search I can easily identifi the sanctions, risks, political affiliations and many more. Therefore it helps to make informed decisions.

Features which enable us to check the MRZ line of different country passport or id types. and its ongoing screening.

EDD costs high, atelast 2 EDD needs to be offered for free every month.

I would recommend that Refinitiv can offer 2 free EDD for all their subscribers so that they can experience the detailed information.
