I really appreciate how efficient Project Insight is for our department. We really like the dashboard reporting side of it because it's highly customizable compared to other tools. It gives us bigger visibility, especially for leadership, breaking down to the tiniest project. I also use it to predict our future budgets and manage capacity resource-wise, and it has helped streamline a lot of things. It's very user-friendly, quick, and easy to learn. The exceptional trainings and the ongoing support from the leadership in sync with our implementation process are fantastic. The initial setup was smooth due to their prior government experience, and they were clear from the start about what was needed from us. I find their organization and support very assuring.

Maybe the RASCI, that can be improved for sure.

The number one thing I like about Project Insight is its ease of use. It's very user intuitive. It allows the project resources to update the status of their own tasks, so we're always getting the most recent updates without the need for a meeting to ask everyone where they're current status. Instead, it's nice to go into a meeting and have all of those updates already done from the team members.

One thing that we need help with is understanding the baseline percent complete versus projected baseline percent complete. We've found a few instances where those numbers don't make sense to our understanding of how they should behave.

Project Insight helps organize our work so everyone knows what's needed and when. It provides executive reporting, keeps our executive management team informed, and aids in resource allocation, preventing employee over-allocation across all projects in our company.

One of the biggest advantages is the availability of training and support materials, making it straightforward for new users to become familiar with the platform. What I found most helpful is the level of support provided by the staff. They take the time to understand requirements and use cases, and they work collaboratively to identify practical solutions for integrations, configuration, and development needs. Their responsiveness and willingness to help have been valuable in ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing use of the platform.

Project Insight provides a broad set of features and capabilities, which is one of its strengths. However, with so much functionality available, it can sometimes be difficult to discover or remember all of the available shortcuts, tips, and more efficient ways of completing tasks. In some cases, users may be unaware that a faster or more streamlined method exists until it is mentioned by support staff or encountered during training.

I like Project Insight for its robust API, which allows for seamless integration with QuickBooks and time tracking. The flexibility to integrate with line-of-business (LOB) apps is another aspect I find valuable, especially for managing billing and time tracking efficiently. This integration capability was a key factor for us switching from MS Project, which lacked extensibility.

It has significantly improved our collaboration, task tracking, communication, and overall project visibility across teams, especially since our events involve 10-20 speakers, volunteers, multiple planning teams, and over 200 attendees. I appreciate the centralized project management features that make it easier to coordinate responsibilities, monitor timelines, and keep all stakeholders aligned throughout the planning process. After an hour of training provided by Project Insight, it was easy to set up the project.

An autogenerated weekly summary report would be nice to have.

Additionally, it's very helpful in tracking analyst actual time versus budgeted time and delivery revenue. The flexibility to customize Project Insight for our needs is critical and provides a huge help in creating efficiencies in our processes. I also love working with Dylan and the team; they are super helpful and accommodating. Their flexibility and responsiveness help us realize efficiencies quickly, which is very valuable to us as a business. The initial setup was very easy.

There isn't anything major that doesn't work well for us - there are tweaks that we'd like to see that better marry the proposal & project information (viewing of mostly) that we've already shared with the Project Insight team and that they're working on.

How the software enables the user to form teams and independently control their tasks are some of the necessities that construction companies were hungry for is made easy. The number of task force created helps for the project to dynamically fine tune this activities for increasing productivity. The portfolio management as a whole is in real time tracking with the time and expense so the you can always be aware of the project risks.

There is not much issues with the software whereas the scheduling of the project can be developed to the level where the cost of each items in the bill of quantities and the expenses of the activities in works in progress can be dynamically monitored and controlled.

You can give this software a try for a small project as a trial because the features are so easy to learn and implement. And the best thing is the blog where you can always communicate with the software experts for any confusion in its working.

Everyone can be on the same page and know what’s going on with particular projects even for small businesses.

Less miscommunication takes place when people can look at the same info.

I like that meetings have been eliminated due to this product. Our company project manager can effeciently monitor hundreds of projects and their timelines.

Approvals can get confusing at times but other than that nothing.

Double projects are no more and communication between departments has improved.
