I really like the continuous improvements in Progress Kendo UI, especially around performance optimization and modern framework support (Angular, React, Vue). The enhanced Grid features like virtualization, column menu improvements, and better state management make handling large datasets much smoother.

The integration with modern theming (ThemeBuilder) and design systems is also impressive—it helps maintain UI consistency across enterprise applications. Additionally, improvements in accessibility (ARIA support) and responsiveness make it more suitable for building scalable and inclusive applications.

It allows my development team to create user interfaces with little to no effort on their part. The libraries are extensive and suit our purposes well. They’re flexible enough for our needs and easy to customize.

The only drawback to Kendo is our own internal billing process, nothing to do with Kendo toolset or Progress as a company.

Customizable controls for Angular.

Saves huge amount of time by providing UI components like the data grid instead of creating those components in house. Very easy to implement and the customer service has been great. There are also a very robust number of features.

Customizing the look and feel can be frustrating.

Progress Kendo UI is easy to integrate and highly customizable based on project requirements. Comprehensive documentation is available through forums and official support channels, making it easy to find solutions. There are also plenty of examples and helpful resources available on other platforms. Additionally, the AI-assisted code suggestions provide ready-to-use snippets with simple commands, which speeds up development.

For advanced or deep customizations, we sometimes need to rely on external forums or AI tools, as such use cases are not always covered directly within the platform resources.

Progress Kendo UI offers a wide range of prebuilt UI components and tools that can be easily integrated into our system. This significantly reduces the amount of custom coding required, resulting in faster development, easier implementation, and improved overall productivity.

The controls are excellent, and the advanced features really stand out.

At first, I found the implementation challenging to grasp.

Kendo UI offers a very comprehensive set of components that really helps in building our application. It is very rare that we would need to customize a lot of these building blocks as generally, they would already offer something out of the box that would provide the functionality needed.

I would also add that developers on the team find that the code examples are concise yet well written. Their documentation also provides a lot of ways in case there is a need to extend a specific functionality.

I have been using Kendo libraries since 2016, and I’ve seen them evolve significantly over the years. They are extremely easy to integrate, offer impressive customization options, and come packed with a wide range of features, whether you need UI controls, a data grid, or more.

Kendo libraries are not particularly lightweight, and any efforts to reduce their size would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, the current selection of charts is missing some advanced options, such as Tree Map and Correlation Map, which would be valuable additions. It would be great to see support for these types of charts, similar to what D3.js offers.

Kendo has made it much easier for me to design reporting applications, thanks to its extensive features and functionalities. Creating these capabilities from scratch would have required a significant amount of time.

Progress Kendo UI offers an outstanding collection of pre-built UI components that significantly accelerate development time. The components are well-designed, highly customizable, and work seamlessly across different frameworks. What impressed me most is how intuitive the library is to use - even complex components like data grids and charts are straightforward to implement. The documentation is comprehensive with plenty of code examples, making it easy to get started and find solutions quickly. The consistent API design across components means once you learn one, you can easily work with others. It's been a tremendous productivity boost for our development team.

While overall excellent, there is a learning curve when first getting started, especially if you're new to component libraries. It takes some time to understand the full range of configuration options and best practices for customization. The initial setup and understanding of licensing can also be a bit overwhelming. Additionally, some advanced customization scenarios require digging deeper into the documentation. However, these are minor issues that diminish as you gain experience with the platform, and the investment in learning pays off quickly.

I have used Telerik tools since they started. I have always found the presentation is excellent and it is very flexible. I have used it in almost every language that they have the UI available for.

It was an excellent product when it came out and it still is. I like the way it looks and the extensibilty.
