Great way to store data

What do you like best about ProductCenter?

I like that the software is quick to store new data, and to check out and in exiting data. I have used other software's that take hours to do this, while ProductCenter does it in seconds. This software makes it easy to share data to locations like U.S, Mexico, Germany, Japan, and China.

What do you dislike about ProductCenter?

There is a very particular way to check in and check out data from this software. I think it could be made easier. Sometimes the software does not let employees check in data for no apparent reason. If you exit the program, restart your computer the data can then be checked in. Various issues like this I think could be solved with bug fixed.

Recommendations to others considering ProductCenter?

Compared to all the softwares I have used, ProductCenter was the right fit for me.

What problems is ProductCenter solving and how is that benefiting you?

How to easily share data and make product updates globally. The data can't be modified by more than one person at once, so no changes are lost.

A compact product management suite

What do you like best about ProductCenter?

It was simple to use. Worked well with integrating paper, electronic-based document management systems with engineering change controls. The software GUI was easy to align with different object types.

What do you dislike about ProductCenter?

The overall design was limited. Integrations had to be scripted between different software solutions used. Didn't offer open connection profiles. It didn't have easy integrations with ERP solutions.

Recommendations to others considering ProductCenter?

I recommend a strong requirement gathering sessions for a strategic analysis of how the tool is used at your company with other software. Unfortunately, the main system we use for operational documents transferred to another solution.

What problems is ProductCenter solving and how is that benefiting you?

It was a great tool in handling CAD drawings with product specifications. Our business partners couldn't consolidate product specs and CAD drawings in one tool which also limited our use of it.
