One of the few options left if you want to bring EDI Translation 'In-House.' They don't tie you down with monthly fees or make you use a specific 'Communication Module' like some of the other options out there. The software has been around a while, and the Support is all done out of Ohio, and is top notch. The EDI Translation is automated to happen behind the scenes, and reporting is pretty basic. They do however allow you to write your own EDI maps as needed, which means you're not obligated to pay someone else to write EDI maps for you.
The software interface is a little dated... At the end of the day it doesnt seem to affect the data translation, since EDI is just turning a text file into another type of flat file. The Software does not support XML translation either, which isn't a problem for us.
Ideal for folks who want to control more of their EDI process, and don't want to spend a lot of money to do so.
We were paying a monthly fee for EDI Translation, and it was getting very costly over the years. A few hundred dollars a month doesnt sound like a lot, but we got our money back with ProEDI after 1.3 years. They also helped us by writing the 1st batch of maps for our 1st Trading Partner. We were able to learn EDI mapping on our own from just looking at those maps, instead of paying for a training class.
