Massive Parallel Processing is the best.

Sometimes it goes slow but there's no such problem in that.

The benefit is that it saves a lot of time to load the data into database.

Mirroring concept , expanding the nodes without downtime and performance is high

Sometimes GP Optimizer will not work as expected ..

I'm good using Greenplum

For the new applications we are above to provide all the support without news issues ..

creating different queues .. auto optimizer to choose best path to pull the data

Ease of use, Ease of integration, deployment models, visualization, reporting, dashboarding

There is nothing that I dislike about the product

We are solving the integration of DLP with Data Privacy. We have got excellent benefits for the data synchronization

1. Amazingly fast due to Multiple parallel processing.

2. Multiple queries can be triggered at a time. The result will be displayed in milli seconds.

3. Queries are almost similar to Oracle. So easy to adopt.

4. Dumping huge files in the database is quick.

5. Customer support is good.

I personally feel that the product a bit expensive.

We are using GreenPlun right now to solve the big data problems where we were not able to use the feature like handling data in datalakes and fetch/filter the data as required.

As compared to other databases scalability is good with greenplum

All i need a Relational Database that can Horizontally scale and give an ease of use close to an Elasticsearch.

Not really a dislike, but would like to see it even more flexible in use, like the way Elasticsearch is.

Pivotal Greenplum has AI capability and can execute point queries and can handle workloads in day to day Organizations activities aside that it is also scalable.

I think there is no dislike it just need the resources or the required architecture for the Pivotal GP to maximize its features and technology.

If you are looking for Advance analytics, fast queries, AI capable, scalability, deployment to Public or Private Cloud or on premise. This is a great database technology you can have. It has more features than I thought.

Using REST API and Advance Analytics. MADlib with Greenplum provides multi-node, multi-GPU and deep learning capabilities. It has model versioning for fast automation, also have the capability to push models from training to production thru REST API. Easy deployment or re-coding analytical models.
