PENTA allows our company to effectively organize our project data into spreadsheets that gives us real-time information needed to understand the status of each job we are working on.

PENTA does have a relatively steep learning curve, which keeps our company from having more stakeholders using it. Other than that, I find it very useful and it gives our company the ability to understand the accounting details of the projects we are involved in.

One of the best use cases for PENTA on the operations side is our ability to run projects and determine where our projected savings can be reallocated to other cost buckets and cover us when our labor costs run high.

I like that Penta allows document upload for not only each individual project, but each subcontractor or vendor as well.

I dislike that Penta often freezes on my computer or takes longer than I'd like to load up documents.

Penta makes it easier to stay organized within a large company like the one I work for. Even when personnel changes, the documentation is still there for record keeping and reference.

Penta has a great deal of flexibility and options for managing your Projects, service work orders, payroll, accounting and much more in the same platform. They also provide a great deal of reporting to manage each of them. There is also a dashboard type reporting site that can provide data analytics for a comprehensive view.

The user interface for the GUI is not very intuitive and the look and feel could stand to be upgraded. The error handling also could be improved. There are times when an error will halt other processes and doesn't allow the user to resolve and often needs support to clear. I think it could be better if there was an auto reversal or some way to manage routine errors.

I inherited the application, but it currently serves as the accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, service work orders, maintenance contracts and job management for our company. It is highly stable and their support is knowledgeable.

It was okay for accounting and payroll, but we ended up switching. Their customer service staff is extremely helpful.

It's really expensive and the under interface is not that great. Everything seemed to be pretty jumbled.

We dont use the software anymore, but it was good for accounting, payroll, and generating reports.

Easy to learn to use, relatively fast data return. Great for job costing.

Could be more user-friendly in terms of delivering data in more understandable and easy to dissect ways. Hard to export data into other programs in a clean format. Occasionally multiple reports need to be run to create a whole picture of the data you need.

I use this system for payroll and keepting track of employees time. We track it per day, per job they are working and for the exact amount of time they spend on each job.

This system is outdated. I only use it because I have to for work. It does what we ask but for the most part we export everything we use into this into another program. It runs extremely slow for the most part. It is not user friendly at all

We are using this software solely for time tracking. We export all the data we enter into it to another payroll system in order to do all calculations and process the payroll.
