Palo Alto Panorama is one of the most intuitive and powerful centralized firewall management platforms I’ve used in my enterprise network security work. Being able to manage multiple Palo Alto NGFW devices from a single pane of glass is a major operational advantage: pushing consistent security policies across device groups, coordinating software updates, and monitoring threat activity across the entire firewall estate becomes far more efficient than managing each device one by one.

UI/UX is where Panorama really stands out. The web interface is clean, logically organized, and responsive, and moving between device groups, policy rule sets, and log viewers feels natural and deliberate. Compared with older management consoles like Cisco’s ASDM, the difference in day-to-day usability is night and day. Administrators with different experience levels can become productive quickly without needing extensive, platform-specific training.

Best thing about it is their centralised management, many firewalls can be configured through a single point.

It is slightly slow in larger environments, also in case if you configure a single device without using panorma, it can create issues. Also only a trained engineer can implement this.

In my environment it helps in managing different locations firewall, also decreasing the lead time. Also it makes the standardisation, also it decreases the chances of making mistakes.

They should extend various SOAR platform support

It has a very nice interface and most of the things can be done through GUI and can manage the NGFW through one centralise console also it has lot more features than traditional firewalls like Cisco ASA. Ice deployed correctly it will become all in one security solution .

It's little but costly and sometimes it's support is late responsive

Apart from traditional firewall it also doing ssl inspection and url filtering it also has different modules like antivirus and preloaded application signature which are always updated automatically from palo cloud an also it has

For me, one of the best features that Palo Alto Networks Panorama offers is: the centralized management and the visibility across multiple firewalls.

For me Palo Alto Networks Panorama offers many good features, the Complexity for New Users, Learning Curve and the Initial Setup are some aspects that the users can find hard or difficult at the beginning.

One problem experienced was that Without centralized management, the organization face a hard time trying to enforce uniform security policies across a large network. And that generate security vulnerabilities for the company.

The Solution that Palo alto offers is that allows the centralized creation and the enforcement of security policies, that can be applied across all the managed firewalls in the network of the company.

Customer Support, sync issue sometimes during implementation.

SDWAN +Secutity at the same place. No need for separate device for security at site level and even for application monitoring.

Panorama can easily handle, manage various firewalls that are deployed in different parts of the world. I am currently working with 5 firewalls centrally managing them from panorama alone. The GUI is super easy, easy to push configurations from panorama itself.

The monitoring logs appear faster in individual firewalls as compared to the panorama. When i am troubleshooting with the customers I want to see the logs as quick as possible for which I connect to individual firewalls instead of panorama.

Acting a perfect product for my perimeter security. The feature set is amazing. Palo alto panorama is leading in the field these days.

Allows management from a single point of all Palo Alto NGFWs, facilitating their configuration, deployment, and collection of logs and statistics. Added to this, it allows easy integration and support for distributed firewalls. From a single point, you can access the most frequently used configuration and apply changes easily, making user support more agile.

It can be a bit complicated if one is not familiar with the functioning of Pre and Post policies, however, by understanding this concept, one can work correctly.

Thanks to the fact that all administration is centralized in Panorama, this greatly facilitates the standardization of configurations and their replication. It also benefits in being able to obtain logs and records of all the firewalls managed from a single point.
