The best planning, forecasting, and budgeting tool.

We’re receiving continuous updates from Oracle, so I don’t have any dislikes at the moment. These updates are helping us meet client requirements.

It’s an easy tool to set up forecasting and budgeting, and it also makes it straightforward to create forms and scripts.

We used Hyperion to consolidate monthly financial data from several locations. A big advantage for me at our plant location was we could import our financial data from an Excel file. Once we did a data dump into Excel, we could then feed it to Hyperion with a click of a button within the Excel file.

Although we could easily update our data, we still had to double check Hyperion to ensure the results fed in at the amount we had on our spreadsheet. I will say we very rarely had any issues with that.

I recommend this at the corporate level for ease of rolling up results.

The big advantage was the ability to consolidate a mass amount of data from various business locations. Needless to say, it improved efficiency and increased the speed of presenting the results to upper management.

Hyperion planning works great with our complex data and has made the planning process much faster.

I haven't used the product enough to determine attributes I dislike.

I've been working with Hyperion Planning for over a year now, and it's great, a wonderful tool to manage your budget and forecast data, review it, share it, model it, I mean you can do a lot here and it is an Oracle product and the possibilities are enormous, You can have access to one of the greatest database engines, AKA Oracle Essbase, you can connect your forecast applications with SmartView for Microsoft and you can model your data in any of the Microsoft suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, you name it). It's a wonderful Saas product, I love it.

There is too little that you cannot like of oracle products. I have a year using it now and I haven't had any complaints.

Hyperion is a great tool. For my time using it I have not had any complaints, Great software for planning data. I recommend you not limit yourself with the usage because of what you achieve with Hyperion Planning it enormous. Create dashboards, manage your tasks and for your quarter preparation tasks, this tool is for you.

Have my forecast and budgeting data available, model it, compare it with my actuals and re-forecast for the next quarter. I mean, everything related with forecast and budgeting I solve it with Hyperion.

I like this program because it is practical and mainly to help in the financial control of the company. I use it daily and I have nothing to complain about.

Until the moment of use, I did not find any negative points. I recommend everyone to use it.

For companies that would like a financial control, I recommend this program because it is very easy to use! It has the necessary documents so that a user can use it without problems.

I like the ease of use and how intuitive this tool is. It has been much better than other planning software I have previously used.

I think Hyperion Planning is very well organized and I particularly like the fact that our company has been able to pair it with an excel add on. Pairing hyperion with excel has made our lives so much easier.

Some of the functionality of the application could be a little bit better. For example, it would be great to incorporate more visualization tools. It is difficult to create a visual report through the app.

I strongly recommend this product if you are a large company that produces financial reporting on a large scale. See if you can pair it with an excel add on and it will make your life so much easier.

I am solving financial reporting as well as some operational reporting through Hyperion. I have realized how easy it is to teach others the system because it is fairly simple and user friendly. I also think it has a great benefit that it does not update constantly so your day to day operations stay the same.

Hyperion makes it possible to report consolidated financials in an mixed ERP environment, EBS and SAP.

Have to run another database, Essbase. This required additional training for the administrators adds to the complexity of the environments.

Reporting financials for a company that has both EBS and SAP. Removing the need to convert on entity's ERP system over to the others.

Web based tool for planning, budgeting and forecasting tool which has the features like single data store, allocations engine, analytically best in industry using Essabse and back-end DB. Powerful calculations can be performed. Can create an ASO cube in essbase which can be used for reporting for its fast response. Easily integrated with other tools.

With the PBCS, EPBCS versions, there is no dependency with infrastrcture, but having all the same capabilities as on-Prem hyperion planning.

Nothing specific for on-Prem, but the cloud version has some limitations compared to the on-Prem version which could be avoided for a better future.

Hyperion is a great software to have to for international and domestic corporate companies that need to have accounts consolidated for financial reporting purposes. The software is highly used when there are intercompany accounts that need to be reported on the 10K and 10Q.

The software reports still need to be formatted and the parameters updated for intercompany reporting otherwise there is still some manual labor for manipulation.

The software is most utilized for international accounts being consolidated with domestic accounts to include consolidation for reporting purposes.
