What do you like best about Oracle Advanced Security?

It helps in the encryption of confidential data present in the columns and tables. Data can be easily shared with any other Oracle user using data detection feature.

What do you dislike about Oracle Advanced Security?

The encryption of data of a single column is easy to achieve but the encryption of data at table level is not straightforward to achieve and it is a time consuming process.

What problems is Oracle Advanced Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is very useful for encrypting data at different levels in the Oracle database. I am using it to encrypt personally identifiable information like name, date of birth etc. present inside the database.

It is easy to integrate and decouple Oracle advanced security with various Oracle services and basically Oracle Rac clusters. In general, the security feature is available to almost all the oracle managed services.

The veriety of security solutions that Oracle data security provides. It provides a high protection to your data against the theft and attack. It gives you deep control rules just to ensure everyone access only the required data.

Nothing as such. If you know the control rules you may have better command and you may protect data better. Since there are veriety of protection, so it gives opportunity to explore and learn.

Oracle Advanced Security features - Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and Masking are very easy to implement and provides a great level of security of business critical and user sensitive data.

What do you dislike about Oracle Advanced Security?

There are very less cons but little enhancement is required for easiness of implementation for In-transit data encryption method.

What problems is Oracle Advanced Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

In our project, we have implemented TDE fo encryption and masked user sensitive data like Name, address, phone number, payment card details etc to protect from misuse of data and to be compliant with GDPR policies.
