When you have a network with many different computers connected, managing it can be difficult. OpenManager is a software that allows you to smoothly run a network with a lot of different hardware devices from different producers. Once you've learnt the basics, you have full control of your network and you can keep an eye on it even if you're not the network manager of your company.

When you are not used to manage computer networks, OpenManager may appear complicated. It took me some time to understand how the software works... But after that, things got easier and I became able to solve some basic tasks quite soon.

I'm not a current user of OpenManager, as I don't work anymore for the company that used it (a small-cap company, less than 200 employees), but I found it to be a really valuable tool and, in the same situation I'd like to use it again.

I think that it is a great tool to have. Its learning curve is not so steep, so you can train more employees to use it at a basic level: you can outsource a network administrator when needed and manage the network internally for the ordinary routine.
