It has several useful tools and they have been improving since the ones I have been using to date are useful to me and allow me to have my critical equipment and servers more secure.

There are certain tools that have not been improved and whose functionality is excellent and improves at the administration level since it is very limited in terms of what can be visualized.

The security of the endpoint is a point of improvement, and with other tools like Deep Security, it complements very well. I have better integration with different systems, and it allows me to provide better protection to the entity.

TrendMicro's one of the major products, Officescan is good for Medium size organization. It is easy to upgrade, however, the upgrade versions are pretty confusing. Support is top notch for business clients. Service Level Agreements are often met to customer's expectations

User Interface is not very promising. Threat definitions are often outdated than other security vendors. A lot of options at management interface is confusing. Not much for options for user to scan their local computer locally.

A good product for an enterprise with lesser IT support staff members. Makes life pretty easy to manage everything centrally.

Officescan platform uses lightweight agents, that keeps neccessary files on the server, not on the workstation. So computers with not strong hardware can easily run this program

Many small issues are removed in the new version of software (update) - Apex One. Officescan license has no compatibility with this big update

Officescan deletes all of software cracks in workstations or suspicious programs (can be banks or governments program). If it appear, administrators solve it during 10-20 minutes

I love how their Xgen feature maximizes protection powered by a blend of cross-generational threat defense techniques. So it is not the traditional one way security, rather multi-way

Yes, would be great for larger companies with larger budgets and specified team to train. Overall, if the support team with OfficeScan is good too. Effective in providing solutions for software errors.

I like that you can schedule scans so that it can run late at night when you're not using it. It does remove any/all viruses and malware found on your computer. Easy to use. It is affordable compared to other services.

The latest versions of the Trend Micro products work exceptionally well. Issues former users may have experienced with end point performance have all be remedied over recent years. Implementation of on-prem instances of smart protection eliminate potential latency issues when performing URL checks. Upgrade to latest version of Office Scan (including the SP 1 released Mid November was completely transparent to users. Over 700 endpoints upgraded and no end user issues!

Normalize the feature requirements to make product evalutation and justification simpler. Other products were looked at, but we had not defined a "clear" set of requirements. This made it difficult to elimate potential players and dragged out final selection.

There is no "end-user" (i.e. client) training required for the product. Administrator training is available, but infrequent in our area, however, Trend has bridged this issue by providing assistance by SEs and has been willing to run training sessions at our facility for customers and partners in the area.
