The ease of use and integration of the purchasing module, which is linked to the entire Odoo platform, inventories, accounting, etc., makes work more productive and information flow correctly.

I don't find anything that could pose a difficulty in using this module, what I would like is to be able to merge several purchase orders into one and also to improve the predefined reports.

Odoo purchase allows to launch of purchase tenders, the vendors can answer it online and the purchase manager can choose the best offer easily.

For a user with little experience in purchases, it can be difficult to realize how can operate the system.

We are analyzing the idea of implementing odoo purchases to manage our purchases and vendors.

Combined with Odoo studio, you can configure the already great purchase module how you want. I currently can see not only the current stock requests on a request for quote, but also the forcasted quantity, the quantity on hand, and how many we sold last year. The chatter keeps employees up to date on the latest goings on and eliminates the "water cooler" chat we used to need to stay on top of things. Being able to send an RFQ, PO, or message directly from the Purchase module, directly on the documents chatter, is a big plus.

1. In the document status you have three stages, RFQ>RFQ Sent>Purchase Order. I wish there were a fourth stage "PO Sent".

2. The status "Fully Billed" displays even when there are open items waiting to be received on a PO.

3. Vendors don't always reply to your PO's and this can break up the chatter, but that would be true in any system.

I like how dynamic and easy to work with the tool as it helps me in my work

I cannot see the specific reports for each of the providers but in a general way.

Yes, I recommend it since it is quite complete and inexpensive

The field for the receipt date should be on the main tab and there should be an option to automatically set delivery date = date of purchase.

The management of the items of the database could be better

I can easily track all the expenses per product, categories or easily edit reports to track costs

Back-order and tender process are the best features

You're not allowed to modify the changes in the purchases process, i.e., receive a product and return it to receive again, i.e. a warranty or refund request, it's impossible to perform, also credit slips have a weird behavior because if you mark to refund in inventory it works differently than in sales module, and when you generate a credit slip is very confusing.

Tracking for pending orders is amazing because it allows our company to understand the flow in back-order sales

Carrying out the purchasing process is simple and straightforward. The workflow can be adapted to each organization, starting from the execution of purchase planners (according to the replenishment rules established in team/warehouse), which creates a supply request that quickly turns into a budget and then into a purchase order, all with just a few clicks. Once the purchase order is confirmed, it opens in two ways: supplier invoice (where it pulls all the purchase lines and you only need to enter the invoice number and a few other details) and the delivery note to receive the goods into the warehouse.

While different values from different suppliers can be set for products and even the currency can be selected for each case, the handling of multiple currencies could be better, especially when generating product lists where it would be convenient to have separate columns for each currency.

There is a defined and clear process where there was none before, with the possibility of achieving absolute traceability from the purchase request, through budget, purchase order, incoming delivery note, and outgoing delivery note for each product, always linked among all the modules, whether it be purchases, sales, accounting, team, production, etc.

It does not come integrated with a menu of request to exit the store of the product that I initially requested.

Purchase makes it easy for me to manage and place orders with vendors. The first steps is to create and RFQ in the event I need a quote. If there is a standard price list, I can convert that to an order right away and send it to them. Because it integrates with other apps, I am able to turn order from the Sales app into purchase orders right away using the Drop ship feature in the Inventory app. Super slick!

I have not run across and feature within the Purchase app that needs improvement. It just works for me.

I have been using Purchase since I started using Odoo. As noted above, the apps allow me to generate quotes, confirm orders, submit purchase orders to vendors and then send invoices to customers all from one app. All of them integrate with other apps so I can see my business all in one place.

This module allows us to track what items are on order and from a financial standpoint, see what has been paid for.

I wish that it was easier to include a landed cost, within the purchase order receiving.

We now know what is on order and can effectively receive products against the PO.
