What do you like best about Odoo MRP?

This is the one stop solution for any business, if i'll tell about only Odoo MRP, Its a best option for Manufacturers where they can manage all the products, and numbers.

What do you dislike about Odoo MRP?

There must be nothing as i am using this software, still implementing it.

What problems is Odoo MRP solving and how is that benefiting you?

There we were facing lots for problems to manage inventries and our Dealers. Where we were maitaing a excel sheet and now, its a automation tool for us.

Odoo MRP is a great system Material Resourse Planning

What do you like best about Odoo MRP?

The MRP seamlessly integrates into the other odoo apps that are also a part of Odoo ERP. In version 14 the sales app was updated to allow for configurable items. The MRP system generates the work order according to the rules in the BoM and the customer's selections for a given product.

What do you dislike about Odoo MRP?

In version 13 it is sometimes difficult to establish prioritization of materials that you have more than one demand that combined exceeds the on-hand availability, but they have fixed this in version 14. Also in version 13 the sales app was not as easy to use with configurable product, but they have fixed that in version 14 also.

Recommendations to others considering Odoo MRP?

If you are doing a large-scale migration, definitely purchase the large success pack. In about a year, we wen through 100 hours of support with our single point of contact (SPoC) and it was worth every penny.

What problems is Odoo MRP solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a mixed manufacturing environment. When we do manufacturing, we have to know what to use, in what quantities, as well as assembly instructions. Combined with the Odoo Studio app, all of this was simple to handle.

What do you like best about Odoo MRP?

The straight forward nature of the software and how it is linked with all of the other modules.

What do you dislike about Odoo MRP?

The ability to keep up with serial numbers or lots.

Reservation of inventory to all of the products on the line items.

Being able to link inventory items to the breakdown of components.

Odoo MRP production planning features helps in preventing excess stock production

What do you like best about Odoo MRP?

The Master Production Schedule to help the Production manager with the Daily/Weekly Production plan of products.

What do you dislike about Odoo MRP?

The system automatically showcases the forecasted stock to be produced & gives a feature to maintain safety stock in your warehouse. On top of that, the Manager has an upper hand to add up the quantities to be produced considering the Market trend & any upcoming event.

Recommendations to others considering Odoo MRP?

The planning screen facilitates the manager to populate the required Manufacturing orders & Procurement orders if there is Raw material shortage.

What problems is Odoo MRP solving and how is that benefiting you?

The enhancements can still be made on calculating the Total cost price of manufactured products not from BOM but also by adding the utility charges incurred by the company in manufacturing the products.

One of the best manufacturing erp's out there.

What do you like best about Odoo MRP?

Out of the box, Odoo works great, and with its inventory and sales integration, products can be manufactured when sold or when stock is needed. This allows for per-product flexibility and can adjust to business needs very well. The manufacturing app allows for complex bill of materials as well as nested bill of materials.

What do you dislike about Odoo MRP?

Compared to other manufacturing applications, Odoo excels at providing a solution to complex situations as a very reasonable price. Odoo also allows for customizations, which other software doesn't. Because it's open source, there is a ton of resources out there that instruct how to customize as needed.

What problems is Odoo MRP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lots of configuration is needed, but I'm not sure if that is avoidable due to the complexities of manufacturing in general. It takes a lot of time and effort to get the products and manufacturing steps created but once you have your configurations set and properly tested, then the workflow is fairly seemles.

What do you like best about Odoo MRP?

The accessibility and ease of customization are unrivaled. Every other solution looks like windows 95 and has a steep learning curve. This is very easy to implement and teach.

What do you dislike about Odoo MRP?

Literally nothing. Everything I've used it for has been flawless.

What problems is Odoo MRP solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a growing manufacturing business that needs quite a bit of oversight. Odoo MRP took hours of weekly work of organizing manufacturing schedules and turned it into minutes.

What do you like best about Odoo MRP?

Once all your BOM's are set up, it's incredibly easy to create and manage a series of manufacturing jobs. Being able to set things up in advance and see how it is effecting the overall inventory is really helpful.

What do you dislike about Odoo MRP?

The only downside I've experienced is some inflexibility when the results of a manufacturing job are more or less than expected. Updating the quantity produced from an MO then alters the materials used, which may not be necessary.

Recommendations to others considering Odoo MRP?

Allow for more flexibility in MO's when results are more or less than expected but the components don't need to be adjusted.

What problems is Odoo MRP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Primarily I'm able to better manage the consumption of inventory materials through MO's, minimizing the need for inventory adjustments.

What do you like best about Odoo MRP?

We do a TON of parts kits which include many of our most popular products. We actually expanded our use of kits to better sell our more obscure products that require the context of the other products in a kit.

What do you dislike about Odoo MRP?

Unfortunately, there is no simple out-of-the-box way to total up the total weight of a kit. Excel can easily help work around this issue.

What problems is Odoo MRP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Adding Manufacturing greatly increased the packing accuracy of our parts kits. Max-Gain Systems, Inc.

A little confusing to someone not used to using a manufacturing program, the terms and functions are not 100% user friendly, but once you understand the process it is fairly simple.

What do you like best about Odoo MRP?

For managing production data as well as stock of newly produce data this one is very useful. It also track the valuation of cost price of new product with respect to the bill of material. Also it include drawing of a product if product is belongs to some physical structure.

Here if you want to set marginal cost with your production total cost in respect to bill of material amount then you can not do this stuff. As like there is no such configuration for a user to do any matter where user can able to choose how they want to set compute there cost of product.
