What do you like best about Metro Monitor?
I enjoy the ease of finding PR hits in real time.
What do you dislike about Metro Monitor?
Metro Monitor doesn't always catch everything, which I don't love

I would say it is a worthwhile investment for what you get. I appreciate the daily emails with updates for my pitching efforts. It is really helpful to have them all in one place.
What problems is Metro Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am keeping on track with the PR hits I need to find for my clients.

Better than Cision and Meltwater
What do you like best about Metro Monitor?
Professional staff who are quick to respond and actually get things done in a timely manner. I really like that they get their data directly from Nielsen so it is as accurate as possible. I don't need a fancy dashboard to get the data I need, so I like that Metro Monitor gets straight to the point.

What problems is Metro Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?
I had a lot of problems with Cision and Meltwater. They were pricey for what you got and it always seemed like we were catching clips that their services weren't. The contacts lists they provided were also inaccurate. I'm not sure how often they update those lists, but there was a lot of emails that bounced back.

What do you like best about Metro Monitor?
We have been very pleased with Metro Monitor and the capabilities the platform provides us for tracking PR efforts and publicity earned on behalf of our clients. The platform is easy to navigate and monitors a vast number of stations and media outlets. However, more than the service itself, what we appreciate most about Metro Monitor is its immensely reliable, responsive and helpful team. The Metro Monitor team is dedicated to customer service and is always quick to help us troubleshoot and willing to do whatever possible to meet our needs. We count on Metro Monitor’s service and on their team to equip us to efficiently do our jobs.
What do you dislike about Metro Monitor?
One feature we feel Metro Monitor is lacking is the ability to search for online articles like you can for TV clips. Metro Monitor also experiences the occasional glitch, but the support team is usually able to remedy the problem for us.
Recommendations to others considering Metro Monitor?
We would absolutely recommend Metro Monitor to anyone seeking a media monitoring service. Before using Metro Monitor, we relied solely on Google Alerts to monitor for mentions of our clients. Metro Monitor provided much more reliable monitoring capabilities that are both focused and comprehensive. The coverage emails we receive make it easy to keep up with earned media mentions, and we are able to easily download TV and radio clips, which we can provide to our clients in addition to online articles. Plus, the team at Metro Monitor is truly top-notch—whenever we run into an issue or even something we’d like to see Metro Monitor incorporate into the platform or service, they are quick to response and eager to help. The Metro Monitor team also has a firm understanding of what we do and what we need, which enables them to routinely meet our needs and understand our goals.
What problems is Metro Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?
Metro Monitor greatly streamlines our media monitoring, enabling us to spend more time focusing on garnering media on behalf of our clients and less time tracking down the articles, clips and results. The efficiency of Metro Monitor allows us to offer added value to our clients by providing copies of the earned media and to demonstrate the tangible results of our efforts on their behalf.

It comes straight to your email, so you don't have to go digging in some database.
What do you dislike about Metro Monitor?
The blog pickup can be a little annoying because that is something my clients don't care about.

Make sure you have the keywords set correctly so you get the most accurate coverage reports.

Accessing the coverage that we may not be able to find manually. It is more time efficient and less manual researching.

Useful service to purchase media clips
What do you like best about Metro Monitor?
I used Metro Monitor for five years while I was working at two separate public relations agencies in similar roles. I would contact a Metro Monitor representative for clips that were not covered under my subscription with Critical Mention or IQmedia and the Metro Monitor staff would be very be quick to respond to my email and give me an update on whether they had the clip (when they might receive it) and the price of it. I found the price to be affordable ($95 from what I recall) and would be more expensive depending on the version that you purchased. I found their staff to be helpful, accommodating, and easy to work with.
What do you dislike about Metro Monitor?
I do not have any issues in my five years working with Metro Monitor to report at this time. I expect that you will find them easy to work with and helpful.
Recommendations to others considering Metro Monitor?
Ask them what types of segments they can secure in advance and you may have even more options!
What problems is Metro Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?
Metro Monitor was incredibly helpful in the time that I worked in public relations across two agencies in ensuring that I got my clients copies of the media coverage that we secured for them. During that time, not everything was covered by Critical Mention and IQMedia and I found Metro Monitor to be a very helpful supplement.

Effective and affordable!
What do you like best about Metro Monitor?
Metro Monitor is easy to use and a great value. My main use for MM is TV coverage, and are able to see local, regional and national coverage and create clips to show our industry partners mentioned and report on the coverage we produced.
What do you dislike about Metro Monitor?
I wish there was a longer time frame to access clips before they expire.
Recommendations to others considering Metro Monitor?
Metro Monitor is not only a great value, but the customer service is above and beyond! I love working with Bryan Council and his team!
What problems is Metro Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to report on TV and radio coverage mentioning specific keywords we set up in the system.

Especially, because the platform is so easy to use and their support staff is always ready! Great product if you have a big name brand
What do you like best about Metro Monitor?
Services are fast and efficient. You can get feedback from almost all platforms including social media and radio.
What do you dislike about Metro Monitor?
I was first introduced to this company with a smaller company and at the time we didn't benefit from it, however when I worked with a larger client, Sprite, it was so much easier to get the desired results. I just recommend fully evaluating whether this tech is worth it for your company.
Recommendations to others considering Metro Monitor?
This product is great for consulting with potential clients to show them real feedback from the media and to help with choosing brands to partner with. We used this tool for a beverage company and found it very helpful in deciding partners based on their social media and web interactions with our products.

The major benefit of metro monitor is that you are always in the know when it comes to your brand. You know how the public is receiving it and can quickly address anything that questions the integrity of the brand.

Some clients don't always understand just what earned media can do for them, but this software helps us give data to the client that proves earned media is worth the money and relationships! Metro Monitor saves lives
What do you like best about Metro Monitor?
What I love most about Metro Monitor is that I am able to go back and watch the actual newscast to see exactly how client features appear on the news. I also love how it tells me the value of the spot, as well as the runtime and audience.
What do you dislike about Metro Monitor?
There isn't much to dislike about Metro Monitor, however sometimes it's a little glitchy and doesn't let me scroll down all the way on the left side where I put in the networks and dates I want to access. To fix this, I usually have to refresh and enter in all of my information again.
What problems is Metro Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of proving the value of our relationships with reporters.

Great product, customer service
What do you like best about Metro Monitor?
When we began using clipping services last year, I tried out a few companies to see which would be the best route. At the time, we needed a clip or two every once in awhile, so my opinion largely based on the customer service. I've worked with one rep the whole time, who has been extremely helpful. Whenever I have a question or a need, response time is quick and the answers are useful. And, our needs have since increased, and the rep was able to get me all set up with the portal, which is easy to use!
What do you dislike about Metro Monitor?
There are times when our clips don't appear in the dashboard, or they are unable to download. It takes a bit longer than expected to get the clip we need.
What problems is Metro Monitor solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now that we have access to the dashboard, we are able to keep track and download clips with ease. We still have access to our rep and communicate on an as-needed basis, which is great and helpful.
